Destination Exploration!!
Funded Apr 13, 2018Where do I even begin? Lets start with THANK YOU! My students were napping at the time my goodies arrived, so my assistant and I hopped to work immediately. By the time they woke up we had everything spread out on our large group carpet. You can only imagine where they went first upon waking. The joy on their little faces was INFECTIOUS! I didn't have a lot of toys to begin with, so I knew they were eager to get their hands on something new at that point.
All of my materials went straight to my Science Center the next day, which is where I was really lacking the tools and instruments needed. Before my materials arrived, the Science Center was the most least liked area in my classroom. Once the new materials were set up, I actually had to create a special "Science Center Schedule" to make sure the kids were rotated fairly. Oh yes, they LOVED their new science materials.
With our new resources, we were able to construct buildings and vehicles out of the Engineering Centers, discover new (and real) bugs with the Real Bugs Discovery Kit, understand magnetism with the Can Do! Magnets Discovery Kit and Magnetic Wands. All of these hands-on activities allowed my students develop critical thinking skills and encouraged them to become lifelong advocates for the environment. Thanks to YOU, I was able create amazing experiences with my preschoolers, turning moments into unforgettable learning experiences. These experiences will have inspired and motivated my students to want to learn and explore more on their own.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Just know that you had a tremendous impact and influence on shaping the thoughts and opinions of my students.”

Funded Aug 18, 2017We cannot thank you enough for all the kind donations! Our preschoolers have put the materials to good use! We have 6 new emoji cushions that go well with our SEFEL guidelines and not to mention, are extremely comfortable! All 6 have different faces and are different colors, so it always gives us something to talk about.
Additionally, they love the new blue carpet that they get to lay down on. Per preschool guidelines, we must place all cushions and chairs ON a carpet, such as the one YOU helped raise money for!
Lastly, the kids absolutely love the new chairs and pillows. It is probably their favorite part of the library. They love to recline and relax on the new chairs with a pillow on their lap or behind their head!”

Mrs. McCoy
