I teach in a Pre-K Counts classroom in a bilingual preschool; my students are 3-5 years old. We're starting a new school year with 5 returning students from last year and 13 new students.
Majority of my students are bilingual, coming from either Spanish or Khmer-speaking families. There are some students who are very shy, who speak very seldomly, some who won't stop talking (respectively), some with speech delays, and others mix their native language with English.
My students love reading, singing, dancing, painting, drawing, talking, laughing, building, rolling, cutting, eating, sleeping, and the list goes on. Everyone has their unique way of learning. We all, teachers and students alike, are still learning how to become a functioning community.
School can be so much fun, and I want to give my students what they deserve and more! I hope to enhance their love of learning throughout the time they are with me.
