  • Stem Lab

    Funded Mar 18, 2025

I'm writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous contributions that made the "STEM Lab" project a reality. Your support has allowed me to create a unique and engaging learning space where students can explore the fascinating world of science through the delicious medium of cooking.

Thanks to your funding, we were able to purchase all the necessary materials to kickstart our hands-on learning experiences. Our inaugural activity, the "Dirt Cake" project, was a resounding success! We began by planting seeds, then seamlessly transitioned to creating a delectable dessert mirrored the soil where our seeds were planted. The students were absolutely thrilled to combine crushed Oreo cookies, creamy pudding, and gummy worms to create their own edible "dirt." This activity not only taught them about soil composition and the life cycle of plants but also fostered teamwork and creativity.

Next week, we are diving into the world of baking, and the anticipation among the students is soaring! They are eager to apply their newfound knowledge and skills to create even more delicious and educational projects. I am confident that these experiences will spark a lifelong passion for STEM in my students.

Your belief in my vision has transformed my classroom into a vibrant hub of learning and exploration. I am immensely grateful for your partnership and your commitment to empowering the next generation of scientists and bakers.”

    With gratitude,

  • Digital Audio Library

    Funded Jan 13, 2025

My fourth-grade students have been absolutely captivated by the Yoto player and accessories since we received them! They ask daily if they can use it, and it's become a highlight of our classroom activities.

This project aimed to expand our classroom audiobook collection, giving students more opportunities for reading and listening. Whether they follow along in the physical book or simply enjoy listening, the Yoto players have been a huge hit.

The included photos show how much my students enjoy the diverse card options. They're particularly fond of the Solar System, Flags of the World, In the Wild, and 3, 2, 1 Beatbox cards, which offer entertainment and educational value.

What I appreciate most about the Yoto players is their ability to engage even my most reluctant readers. They offer a new avenue into stories, making literature accessible to all learners. The Yoto player has become a popular destination on our audio bookshelf, drawing in students who might not otherwise engage with reading.

Thank you so much for this incredible gift and for helping me make reading accessible to all my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Zelasco

  • Period? No Questions!

    Funded Jan 24, 2025

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support. Thanks to your generosity, my students now have everything they need for personal care easily accessible. They no longer have to feel hesitant or embarrassed about asking for supplies; they can confidently go to the designated area and help themselves to what they require. Each girl can select the specific pads or tampons that best suit her preferences and needs.

I recently had a meaningful conversation with the girls, guiding them on where to find these essential items. As I shared this information, I could see the relief wash over their faces, as if a heavy weight had been lifted off their shoulders. Witnessing their gratitude and ease truly warmed my heart. Knowing that I can support them during such a vital stage in their lives brings me immense joy. Being able to offer them this relief amidst their growing pains is something I cherish deeply.”

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support and commitment to creating a welcoming environment for our young girls, particularly during such a crucial time in their lives.

Your efforts in providing access to essential feminine products have made a significant difference. Many girls face challenges when they experience their menstrual cycle, from feeling embarrassed to not knowing how to take care of themselves. Your initiative to stock these products ensures that all girls can feel safe and supported without the worry of lacking the necessary supplies.
