  • Create and Learn

    Funded Jan 11, 2022

The Cricut Maker has been one of the most special tools I have received for my classroom. My students have voice and vote about how to decorate the classroom. The have a notebook to write down their suggestions. They also are actively engaged in making what's needed for the classroom. They are learning how to use the design suite and the tools. I'm learning as well and planning enriching projects for the future. We will soon start designing our own T-shirts.

Thank you for your generosity and support.”

  • Amazing Celebrations

    Funded Oct 16, 2021

I was amazed by your generosity in funding this project. My students have richer experiences with the resources we received.

Now, that the weather is changing we learned about Spring and life cycles. The book we received was our mentor text to learn about chicks and chickens. The puppet was a great addition and the best thing to having a real one in the classroom. My class named it Peggy. And they were delighted to received their little surprise critter in the egg. The wind up toys were a hit. Even kids from other classes and other teachers came to see them.

This project was all about making amazing celebrations for my students and thanks to your generosity, we did it.”

  • Can You Hear Me Now?

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for choosing us! This project provided me with a voice amplifier, and rainbow table skirting for counters.

The rainbow table skirts have brought so much joy to all of us. They really brighten up the room. Everyone who comes to our classroom feels a positive impact. The classroom environment is so much better because of them. Thank you.

The voice amplifier has saved us all! Now, all my students can hear me clearly, and my throat is not overworked. There's no more guessing what did I say or wonder if they can hear me in the back. The voice amplifier has brought equity to my class. Everyone can get the message loud and clear. This makes a huge positive impact on all of us.”

  • Every Voice Matters

    Funded Jan 6, 2022

The Q-Ball arrived when my students had asked me for a microphone. So it was perfect timing in our classroom. It changed the dynamics in our classroom.

The Q Ball is a quick way to allow my students to access learning better in class! I teach a Dual Language class, and my students get the amazing opportunity to learn English as a second language as they continue to learn in their native language. For this reason, the students must be able to hear everyone in the classroom! While I have a microphone that I can use in the classroom, I encourage the students to participate often so we can learn from each other. Also, I have some soft-spoken students that especially benefit from having their voices amplified by this Q Ball. The Q-Ball is just the tool to motivate my students to speak confidently!”

  • Back to School We Go!

    Funded Sep 8, 2021

Thank you for supporting my class. My classroom is more organized and functional thanks to the organizers, the clock, and the calendar. These are tools that help us every single day. The clock is large and visible to all. The numbers are large for all kids to see and having a digital clock makes it easy to read the time. The calendar is updated by a student and is used daily. The clear plastic storages keep our math centers organized and easy to move from group to group.

The frames have built an inclusive and positive classroom community. The frames hang on the top of a wall. Believe it or not, the students don't stop looking at them. They are proud of themselves. It has given them the seal of belonging to our classroom. I equated it as having their picture in their home. If their picture was missing they would feel not seen or neglected. I can't thank you enough for caring.”

  • We are all Artists!

    Funded Sep 8, 2021

I was ecstatic when I received the news that my project was funded. This project is very dear to my heart. The art supplies are nonexistent in the classroom, however, we all agree that art is important for children and all people.

The canvas, watercolors, oil pastel, and acrylic paints are providing children the opportunity to explore mediums that they have never used before. We already had the opportunity to work with oil pastels in different art lessons. The children are amazed by them! They also love using watercolors. Itś like magic to add a little water and voila! they have a beautiful painting.

We are deeply touched for choosing to support our classroom.”

  • All the Colors of the Rainbow for a Multicultural Classroom

    Funded Sep 7, 2021

The books we received have been the staples for our class. we developed our class family charters after reading our books. The book Wild About Us is perfect to reflect and celebrate all the attributes that make each of us unique. The Invisible Boy (in Spanish) helps us understand how small acts of kindness can help others feel included and show their colors. Another great book, we received was The Magical Yet. This book is all about a growth mindset. Itś the perfect book for understanding the difficulties in learning something new, things we don know yet.

My students were so excited not only for the great titles we received but also for getting books in their native language. We received ¨Nuestra clase es una familia" y La amabilidad es mi Superpoder,¨ and ¨El coleccionista de palabras.¨ And also ¨El Nino invisible¨ as mentioned before. These books are without a doubt the core of our classroom community. The message of each book has strengthened our classroom in more ways than just reading. It has developed our Socio_emotional learning as well.

The Crayola ¨Colors of the World¨ crayons, colored pencils, and markers have made a huge difference in how students portrait themselves and their classmates. They are no longer limited to peach or brown.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Zelasco

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will keep them engaged throughout the year. I know exactly when everything will be used. The calendar and schedule charts will be placed up front and use every day to keep us all focus. The plastic tablecloths will help transform our classroom into a restaurant for our delicious book tasting, or a Writer's Cafe. We will also have a Racing Unit to integrate STEM into our learning. The canvas and paint will be used to create masterpieces as we also integrate art into our learning. The 152 crayon collection will be used daily and will provide my students with new color vocabulary. The hats will complete my students' outfits to get them excited about our work. The donations to this project will help the students to learn in an engaging way, they will love to learn and work at the same time. You will provide a year of transformations and engaging learning!
