Simple Machines Are Not Always Simple!

Funded Mar 27, 2018

The technology is helping my students because it improves engagement and provides different opportunities to make learning more fun. Students go on virtual field trips, and interact with simulations. My students are presently studying Patterns of the Earth and Sky, and they are using a simulation to help them understand the distance and size of the stars from Earth. They are now more active participants in their learning and are interested in what we're studying. Now that they're interested in what they're studying, they seem to retain the information better through the use of the technology. They can also learn at their own speed, or use the technology to review concepts that were taught. Students are also learning how to collaborate with each other by sharing documents and working on projects.

What's most exciting to my students is that they can do research, and the device is small. They also like that they can type their reports and email them.

All the students have warmed to this technology. Whenever we use technology in the class students clamor for this device more than the traditional laptop because of the size, and the touchscreen.

Thank you so much for helping my students achieve their goals.”

With gratitude,

Mrs. Zarinsky
