Both my students and I will use the document camera all day long in our classroom. During the modeling component of our lessons, the document camera will be beneficial for the students to have a closer look on what is exactly being taught and what they are expected to do. Also, we will be able to read aloud our books together. Typically when I read to my students, I have to read it out loud by myself because I only have one copy and the print is too small for all the students to read along. With the document camera, I will be able to display the book onto the screen and the students will be able to read along with me to foster their fluency. Finally, my students will always do their best work because when it is time to present their work, it will be displayed all across the screen for the class to see. In a large class of 28 students, many of which are English Language Learners or students will attention needs, it can be difficult to focus during instruction. With the document camera, the students will be more engaged within the lessons and will look forward to learning!
