My 27 diverse first graders are a close community of learners in a suburban school setting. Fifty percent of my class struggles due to communication disorders, learning disabilities, high needs, behavior disorders, and Limited English Proficiency. My students are very eager to learn and share their ideas, but they lack the necessary skills, confidence, and tools to do so. Many of these students do not have access to motivating technology that could help them be successful and achieve their goals.
