  • Pre-K Learning Through Play!

    Funded Apr 11, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our pre-kindergarten program. We work with young children each day and recognize the importance of providing play-based activities in order to encourage more developmental play during each school day. When working in small groups with young students, we enjoy offering fun and exciting materials to students to encourage speech and language skills. These play-based materials will be very inviting for students to participate in both parallel play and more cooperative play as well.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wisecup

  • Pre-K Play-Based Assessment Materials

    Funded Apr 13, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our pre-kindergarten program. We work with young children each day and recognize the importance of providing play-based activities in order to encourage more developmental play during assessment. Our goal is to assess our pre-kindergarten students in such a way that encourages young children to show their skills in a more authentic, play-based situation. Doing so, we can gain a more appropriate picture of where students are performing and what needs they may have within the classroom.”

  • Strong Fine Motor Skills Need Fun Materials!

    Funded Jan 25, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations towards the much needed art and fine motor/writing supplies for our pre-kindergarten classroom. Our students have been enjoying all of these materials daily within our classroom fine motor/writing center.

It has been so fun to watch them grow and develop stronger fine motor skills so they can be more prepared for the writing tasks they will begin once they enter kindergarten and beyond.

Thank you so much for thinking of our students and donating to our classroom. Your gift has helped many young writers prepare for kindergarten.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wisecup

  • STEM in Our Pre-K Classroom

    Funded May 12, 2019

We were so excited to receive our new STEM materials for our classroom! Our students have truly enjoyed engaging with the waterfall wall and water pump as centers during our class day. We encourage discovery and free play in our pre-kindergarten program. These new STEM materials are so inviting and really encourage engineering principals within our classroom.

We greatly appreciate your kind donation to help us provide the materials our students need in our pre-kindergarten classroom. Your generosity helped us purchase our new STEM materials for the classroom that we will be using for many years to come.”

  • Woodworking in the Pre-K Classroom

    Funded May 11, 2019

We were so excited to receive our new woodworking table! While we are working on implementing our woodworking center within our classroom, we plan to use this fantastic table for many centers as well. In the photos we sent, we are using this new table for our classroom pizzeria. This table allows our students to have a defined space for the materials we are using for the current theme in our classroom.

We greatly appreciate your kind donation to help us provide the materials our students need in our pre-kindergarten classroom. Your generosity helped us purchase our new woodworking table that we will use in our classroom for many years to come.”

  • Cozy Up With A Book In Our New Reading Nook!

    Funded May 10, 2019

Wow! What an exciting addition to our pre-kindergarten classroom! Our students have been so excited to read in our new classroom reading nook! It is such a cozy little area that really invites our young students in and encourages them to read. Our previous reading couch had become very worn and soiled. It was time for a nice, new face lift in our classroom reading center! Our new reading nook also allows our students a more distinguished area in which to read. They truly enjoy curling up in our cozy little nook with a reading buddy.

We greatly appreciate your kind donation to help us provide the materials our students need in our pre-kindergarten classroom. Your generosity helped us purchase our new reading nook so we can continue to encourage a love for reading in our classroom.”

  • Feelin’ Smug On Our New Rug!

    Funded May 5, 2019

We are so excited to have our new, beautiful rug in our classroom! Our students were so excited when we received our package and could not wait to open it up! We service students in a blended Early Childhood classroom, many with various disabilities. Our new rug gives them a visual, defined space to sit on. Providing this visual is very helpful for all students, especially those who have difficulty understanding where to sit and/or have difficulties when other students are in their space.

We greatly appreciate your kind donation to help us provide the materials our students need in our pre-kindergarten classroom. Your generosity helped us purchase our new rug so we can come together as a class to learn each school day.”

Our blended Pre-Kindergarten/Early Childhood Special Education program services up to 30 students ages 3-5 annually. Our classroom is a very busy place with many eager learners. We love to learn and explore through hands-on developmentally appropriate play in our classroom. In the world of early childhood, students are frequently on the floor both to sit and listen to stories read aloud, and to engage with various materials such as blocks and other building materials. The large 9’x12’ rug we currrently use in our classroom is over 13 years old and has become very worn out and stained over the years. It is also very important for our young students to have seating boundaries so they are aware of their proximity to other students and to allow them their own space when listening, learning, and playing. The classroom rug we have chosen is very developmentally appropriate, with pictures available so students know where to sit without the current paper taped to the floor which is now necessary. It would provide a cleaner alternative and more developmentally appropriate surface for them to play and would brighten up our classroom as well!
