In our seventh grade, chemistry and physical science curriculum, we utilize scientific formulas to calculate density, speed, and acceleration. Students engage in collecting, averaging, and graphing qualitative and quantitative data, to identify patterns and make connections between variables. Having calculators will aid the inclusion of all students, irregardless if math isn't their strength, "YET". Having calculators, instead of letting students utilize their cell phones, will help students who may become distracted or susceptible to loosing focus easily. A well functioning lab group aids in their construction of long-term scientific understanding. Thank you for considering a donation to benefit my scientists-in-training!
