    Funded Apr 3, 2025

I am so excited to share the news of this project being sponsored! We are tackling such a fun and engaging adventure and it wouldn't be possible without these items. Thank you for all of your support and encouragement along the way. My students will be estatic to see this after Spring Break!”

Thank you so much! I just shared with my class and they all jumped for joy! We are overjoyed! This means so much to me and my students. We cannot thank you enough. It is a great surprise for us to see this email and to be able to share with my students.”

  • It's Cool to be Calm Sensory Room!

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

We have been so blessed to have you support our school in the way you did! Our sensory room has provided many breaks for a number of our students. The cool thing about it is they all use it in various ways. This was all possible because of you and the donations you made to our project. Each time a new student passes by the room, they ask about it because it draws their attention. This has been such an amazing addition to our school, and we cannot thank you enough for all of the different sensory experiences you help make possible.”

  • Digital Learning Necessities!

    Funded Dec 29, 2021

We have greatly enjoyed our brand-new headphones! Our students are able to fully interact with digital assignments now because they can actually hear what is being said. Many of our students have read aloud programs due to their accommodations and these headphones allow them to have access to the full potential of such programs. We are so thankful for you all and your generous donation to our class! We think our kids are pretty amazing and it helps when we have support from others just like yourselves. Thank you again!”

  • When Hunger Strikes

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

We cannot express how much your generous donation means to us. Our students were so shocked to see all of the goodies that were just for them. Many of them were in awe of your generosity too!

We do so much to support our kid's academic and social-emotional needs and often times their basic needs. It means so much to have a community of people who are willing to help us meet those needs as well. It meant so much to us teachers.

Once again, I appreciate you and your donation so much. My students mean the World to me and I always want to provide for them, but am limited. Thanks to our community, this is not always the case!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Washington

  • Brightening the 21-22 School Year!

    Funded Jul 12, 2021

Thank you so much for helping us start our school year off right! The visual schedule has allowed my students to adjust into their new routines. We also are able to provide visuals because of the magnetic strips. These hold our anchor charts around our room and allow students to have accessible tools all day! We could not have started our kids off to a better start and this is all thanks to you and your generous donation. We are blessed beyond belief when it comes to the support of our community and love for our students.”

  • Teaching Through Books

    Funded Mar 1, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity in helping me provide these books to my students. I have a lot of students who struggle with expressing their emotions or identifying them. The books bring more awareness to different types of emotions and allow students to see the emotions are "normal" to feel. It also allows them to find ways in how to handle these big emotions.

I have had many students asks to read the books provided. One student in particular is VERY fond of the "What Should Danny Do?" series because it helps him see the connection to his actions and the consequences which arise.”

  • Resources for the 2nd Year Teacher

    Funded Dec 19, 2017

I apologize for the late response in regards to your donations. I am now working in year 4 and a lot of the donations you made possible are still being used. I cannot thank you guys enough for all the support in making my classroom a success for so many students. The excitement of my students was something I wish I would have recorded. I always enjoy opening the packages with them and letting them see what we have acquired for our classroom. Currently we are working on our reading skills and our conversation skills in regards to building language. We are striving to become and oracy school and we are determined to be the best we can be for our students!

    Thank you,

    Brittany Washington”

  • Essentials for Better Learning is Not Always a Book

    Funded Feb 24, 2017

Our school cannot thank you enough for your consideration of donations. Often times, schools are perceived as just a place to learn, but for a lot of our students it is an opportunity to feel safe, loved, and taken care of. This is where they get their hot meals for the day, and socialize with peers. These items not only made it possible for our nurse to be able to give to our students when they ask, but it also made it possible for our students to learn about self-health. Thank you again for seeing the necessity of these items and contributing to our school.”

  • The Day Mrs. W's class Got Their Wiggles Out

    Funded Jan 24, 2017

Thank you again for your generous donation. We have had a successful first year in room 155! The flexible seating has allowed for my students to not only get their wiggles out, but has allowed them to make choices in their learning. They now are able to choose their "smart seats" in order to help them stay engaged and focused on the tasks at hand.

When we first received the packages with all the new seats, I told the students how much everything cost and told them some very kind people helped us get these chairs. They wanted to know more and more. They were in awe at the price of the chairs and were very thankful someone spent that kind of money to provide for their needs. They were scared to even sit on them for a few days because they did not want anything to happen to them! That quickly went out the window as curiosity of how the new chairs worked got the best of them. This is when they fell in love!

It is fun to watch them create their learning spaces now when they come into the classroom. They do not fuss over who gets what chair as they know it is their choice as to where they work the best. I have seen them grow so much by simply being able to make their own choices. It does not seem like much, but in the long run it really is a lot for these students. We cannot thank you enough for providing them this opportunity and this gift.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Washington

Welcome to room 132! In this room we laugh, we learn, and we love. We are always looking to provide meaningful and enriching activities within our classroom. To do this, we need to the support of our friends and our community. We are focused on social emotional learning and the benefit it has on our student's overall growth. I hope that you are able to bless us with something that would mean a great deal to my students and myself as it ultimately aids their learning.
