My school is at a high poverty rate according to our free/reduced lunch percentage. Many of my 5th grade students need someone who believes in them and pushes them beyond their limits. I'm looking to hook these 5th graders by incorporating purposeful movement into the classroom along with brain based learning. Studies have shown that this increases attention span and retention of new information. Also, students find that love for learning. Exercise grows brain cells and healthy active kids make better learners. Help me prove to students that learning can be fun!
