My twenty-six second graders love to read! You will often find them lying on the floor, underneath a table, slumped over a desk with their noses in a book, and I even have a couple that stand while they read! They love to learn and share, and collectively as a group, they love animals, science, and art. We have a school that is dedicated to supporting our readers, and students that love to try and make a difference for themselves and others. Each week, my students have a class meeting where we sit in a circle to help develop a sense of community and work together to solve issues that we may have had as a class or individuals.
