These materials will help my students become independent learners. The touch screen capability on the laptop will make maneuvering through the applications easier for my students and maximize their learning. My students will be able to use the computer to publish their writing and print out pictures that also support their writing piece. These materials will make a difference in my students learning because they will be able to research the internet and find supporting information that will strengthen their writing. Exposing students to becoming independent learners through technology will help prepare them for when they have to take standardized tests. Since the students have to take all of their benchmark tests online, the more opportunities they have to use technology will better prepare them.
