Having materials in a low-income school is a must. Students need pencils paper etc. I go out of my way to provide these things to my students. The cost adds up and having the furniture to store these materials is also a must. I can’t expect my students to achieve success if they are not prepared and I cannot hold it against them to not be prepared when they can barely afford the cost of living. I choose to have their materials at hand to help them and so no excuses are present in the classroom to be able to get their work done.
