• STEM Activities for Awesome Third Graders!

  Thank you to all my wonderful donors! You have made a major impact in my students' learning. They no longer have to wonder about the world around them! With the robot, they get to explore the world of coding and engineering in a meaningful way. This ensures that what they have learned and will learn last for a lifetime. This winter at the start of the new year my students have learned about simple machines and how they work. They will learn that it takes engineering to make a simple tool and that simple tools have made an impact in our every-day lives. I know that my students can't wait to explore more about simple machines, robotics, coding, and how these all work together. I am eternally grateful that this world still have people like you that care for children like my students. Thank you so much for sparking the interest of science in my students!”

In our classroom, we combine the Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Math units with art projects that are meaningful to my students. My students are also assigned an Art Project of the Month. Every Friday, my students learn art history, technique, mediums, shades, and hues mini-lessons that can be apply to their projects. With your donation, my students will have access to art paper, markers, and color pencils that will be put to use right away. Every morning our class has a Reader's Workshop activity and having our library organized makes our transitions easier. When a teacher has a class with students who struggle with English because they are English Learners, like mine, these resources have a great significance. They have been learning to read fluently and to read non-fictional books that will increased their comprehension and reading skills. They will soon learn about how using your voice depend their reading fluency . You have made teaching reading pretty engaging and I am forever thankful!”
