The materials will help appropriately enhance their play and social skills as well as their critical thinking and cognitive development. I chose the building block sets because my kids are naturally intrigued with building and it can easily become a social experience. Play does not come naturally to some children with autism and gifting these items will allow us to strategically teach our students how to play and interact with their peers. Our students will learn how to request, use social exchanges, and verbalize with their peers using the block sets, sand and dramatic play items. They will use these materials in small group settings as well as individual settings throughout the school year. We graciously appreciate your donation!
