• Basic Supplies for First Graders!

  Thanks to you, I was able to provide my students with the essential materials needed to begin the school year. These materials included: writing journals, crayons, whiteboards, erasers and pencils.

  It has been a challenging school year but also a school year full of success and rewards. My first graders have shown me over the past 60 days of school that they are resilient and adapt well to change.

  I feel extremely fortunate that I get to be their teacher. I get to see them learn and grow everyday.

• Resources Needed for Distance Learning!

  Thanks to your donation, I was able to purchase online resources from Teachers Pay Teachers. These resources have been extremely beneficial to my first graders, who have been learning virtually since the beginning of this 2020-2021 school year.

  The digital deck cards I purchased for Boom Cards have given my students much needed phonics practice.

  With your help I was also able to purchase a variety of activities for Seesaw, the platform we use to upload work. Some of these activities include retelling cards, calendar activities, social studies activities, grammar activities and math activities. All of these activities have been extremely useful and engaging.

• Little Artists Need Supplies!

  Thank you for helping my students have access to materials which allow them to explore their artistic creativity! They love the Kwik Stixs and I love them, too! The paint sticks give my students the opportunity to paint using vibrant colors and are mess-free, which is so important when keeping our class clean.

  With the paper that you so kindly helped our class obtain, we were able to create various crafts, such as, dragon masks when I taught my students about Chinese New Year. The drying rack has also been essential to ensure our art pieces and crafts completely dry.

• TK/Kinder Students Need Technology!

  Thank you for helping me give my students access to the four Kindles! Having them in our classroom has been extremely useful!

  Having the four Kindles have allowed my students to have more opportunities to access educational programs, such as our reading and math programs.

  In addition, my students have had the opportunity to access Code.org, a website that engages them in meaningful coding challenges that develop computational thinking. Without the Kindles my students would not have been able to do all of this.

• Kindergartners Need More Outdoor Play!

  Thank you for your generous donation. My students love having their own outdoor play equipment. They have a wonderful time using the scooters, the toss rings, bowling pins and balls.

  With the help of the additional equipment and games my students are developing their fine motor skills and social skills.

  Outdoor play is also helping my students learn how to work together and learn how to share. Skills that are so important for students to attain and master!

• A New Bright Beginning!

  Thanks to your generous donations I was able to give my students essential materials to begin the school year.

  The pencils helped my four and five-year old students begin their journeys of becoming great writers. The pencil grips provide extra help to those students are learning how to hold a pencil. The colorful paper has made our word wall very colorful and beautiful. My students use the scissors and glue to create their first crafts to accompany their first writing pieces.

• Kinders Can Code!

  Thanks to your generosity I have been able to slowly start my young students learning about computer science. As my students are pre-readers, I have started them with the pre-readers coding experience, which involves them solving simple puzzles and moving simple blocks. They love "playing", as they call it, not knowing that they are developing computational skills, as they "play." I am looking forward to seeing more students learn about computer science!

• Play Light Table Needed for Sensory Enhancement!

  Thank you for helping me give my students this great light table and manipulative center! My students love using it. In this short time, I have seen the light table enhance my students' sensory abilities and engage them in mathematical activities.

  The light table and manipulative center have also helped my young students refine their fine motor skill and improve their collaboration skills. Such skills are so important for the development of my 4 and 5-year-old students.

• Kinder Builders Need Magna Tiles!

  Thank you for believing in me and helping my students have access to more Magna-Tiles. Since the beginning of this school year my students have manipulated the Magna-Tiles with their hands and fingers. Magna-Tiles have helped my young students improve their fine motor skills. I have seen many of my kinders improve their handwriting and pencil grip as a result of having access to more manipulatives.

  Having more Magna-Tiles has also allowed more students the opportunity to build bigger and greater structures! With the Magna-Tiles my students have been able to create a variety of structures and designs, using their creativity and learning how to work as a team!
