I work in a 1st grade classroom in beautiful NE Denver, Colorado. My students are very diverse, often learning English as a second language, and many come from broken homes with severe economic challenges. My goal as a 1st grade teacher is not only to teach students the basic skills they need to be successful in school, but to be excited about learning, and willing to work hard to learn independently their whole lives. DonorsChoose and all my wonderful donors have really made a difference in each and every classroom I have worked in. The projects that I have been lucky enough to have funded have helped provide and enhance learning opportunities for hundreds of students, and will continue to for years to come.
