I work with special needs children, learning life skills. We are building a store: learning addition/subtraction, saving money, difference between wants and goods, income, and budgeting. Students will use these skills for the rest of their lives. Students are learning how to earn income to purchase products. They will save money until they can afford the goods. They will take turns running the store. Our goal is to use the store in all lessons this year to learn many life and academic skills. The students are super excited to get this started. Parents are donating items to be sold.
