  • Organization Is a Journey, Not a Destination

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

My students have really loved getting and using the boogie boards. The boards have an electronic component that allows kids to write on them with a pen and erase them with the push of a button. There is also a switch on the back that allows students to lock the eraser button so their information can not be erased. The pen is plastic, contains no ink, so it never needs to be replaced and can't be lost because it is attached to the board! The students love the colors that they can write with. I love that they love the boards because they are excited to get them out and I don't have to worry about replacing dried out markers and lost marker caps!

Finally, the chair pockets have been amazing to help with student organization. We keep items that we use all of the time in the pockets that hang on the back of our chairs. We are able quickly access those materials.

Thank you for your generosity, my students and I truly appreciate it!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bader

  • Criss, Cross, Applesauce!

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

My students LOVE the new carpet. We use it everyday! We hold whole class meetings, students gather to listen to books being read, they use it in smaller groups to read, with clipboards and lap desks to complete work and we even use it for a brain break game!

Students are able to go to the carpet to work as an alternative to being in their seat all day. Many students take advantage of this option to complete work in a less restrictive environment. They are able to lay down and get comfy and still get their work done.

They really enjoy a brain break game we discovered online that called for hula hoops on the floor to mark spots to jump on in the game. Our carpet has built in sposts that we don't have to worry about stumbling on or moving. It was an unexpected benefit!

Thank you again for loving and supporting my classroom and students with your donation, we truly appreciate it and are getting great use out of it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bader

  • Teach, Share, Inspire

    Funded Nov 22, 2022

We want to give you a great big THANKS for your generous donation to our classroom. We are using the document camera and printer everyday.

The document camera allows us to place papers, books, and computer screens underneath it so they can be projected onto the board in the front of the room. It is like we are at the movie theater but the content is what we are working on in class. Students are able to come up and write on the document being projected and others can see the results immediately. It also makes sharing and discussing text in books easy to display.

The printer helps when copies are misplaced so they can be printed immediately. Students also love having access to colored copies for special projects. It makes diagrams and pictures more engaging and meaningful for students,”

    With gratitude,

  • Imagination Stimulation

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

My class and I really appreciate your generosity! The students are using the STEM toys just about everyday. They use them during station time, if they finish assignments early, and they have been a big hit during indoor recess.

A couple of the most popular choices are the marble runs and rock collection. Students love to put together different structures and see whose marbles can get through the fastest. They have to think about how the twists, turns, and drops help or hinder the marbles journey. Students like to look at the different specimens included in the rock collection under magnifying glasses and identify what type of rock it is.

We are currently incubating chicken eggs in our classroom. We are using the Chicken Life Cycle set of eggs we received to help students see the changes that are taking place inside of their eggs. Students are so excited to open the next egg each day and amazed at how quickly the embryos are growing.”

  • Spice It Up

    Funded Nov 3, 2021

Your donations helped our classroom order materials for Character Education and Social Studies.

The Character Education unit that was purchased allows us to focus on a new skill each month such as character, respect, tolerance, kindness, integrity, self-discipline, courage and perseverance. We are able to use Google Classroom and our Chromebooks to access the lessons. They help the class learn about each topic, share ideas, and offer a variety of hands on related projects for each unit. The part I love the most are the insightful conversations that are generated from the discussions that happen when working through the information.

The units purchased for Social Studies also allows us to use Google Classroom and our Chromebooks to share and complete lessons. The format of the lessons are similar enough each time that students have an easy time focusing on the information and not worry so much about how to manipulate the information. The lessons are focused, on topic and allow us to move through them efficiently.

We appreciate you help in getting our new resources!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bader

  • Wiggle No More!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for your help in funding "Wiggle no More." The kids were so excited when the boxes arrived and they got to tear into them! We all wanted to try everything all at the same time. They are enjoying using the cushions and bands. They were especially handy helping us make it through the winter when we couldn't get outside to burn off some wiggles. We have had them long enough now that everyone has settled on a favorite to use. The cushions have actually been put to use sitting on the floor as well as chairs, which I hadn't thought of.

My students and I want you to know how much we truly appreciate not only the monetary donation but the fact that you were thoughtful enough to provide for someone you don't even know.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bader

I have a wonderful, curious and lively group of third graders. We have been in person learning since September. Although we are six feet apart throughout the day these little troopers have hung in there and make the best of everyday we have together.
