  • Fantastic 4th Grade Reads!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for these awesome books! Since their arrival, I have not been able to keep them on of our library's shelves. They have sparked a huge interest in fictional reading and have allowed my students to learn about different genres in literature in the process. The variety of books in this collection have exposed my students to an entirely new genres of reading and have allowed them to practice their reading skills in age-appropriate, high-interest texts. These resources are so valued in my classroom - thank you again for supporting me and my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stutz

These "Who Is/Was" books have exposed my students to an entirely new genre of reading and have allowed them to practice their nonfiction reading skills in age-appropriate, high-interest texts. • Hearing Cricuts? Creating Beautiful Vinyl Displays For Our School

    Funded Nov 21, 2017

Thank you for your generous donations to our project. We have been using the Cricut to create dicut creations around the school and I look forward to creating vinyl decals in the near future.

This project has helped us create displays within our building and has had a great impact on many students and grade levels throughout our building. Our Cricut will be used for years to come and we appreciate your support towards the students, staff, and community at QE. Thank you for helping us beautify our building!”

  • Positively Powerful Posters To emPower Our Students

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

Thank you so much to the donors who funded this project. The chart maker has impacted our school by allowing us to easily make anchor charts to act as scaffolds for our students. We have even enlarged student writing and other work to act as models for their peers. Our special needs population has benefited from having large, visible sentence starters to aid them in their school work.

Having the chart maker has also helped our staff by allowing us to make large, visible school schedules and event posters for the student council and Broadway Jr. team.”

  • On the Move - Flexible Seating to Help Growing Minds!

    Funded Aug 29, 2016

Thank you so much for funding our flexible seating project. The students have been so receptive to the bouncy bands and wobble seats. Students are able to use them when they feel they need then and they have been helping our students remain in their seats for longer periods of time.

We are currently trying the flexible seating in a few classrooms in the building and hope to roll out flexible seating to all of our classes in grades 6-8 by the end of the school year. We have seen a positive impact in the classrooms that have used these resources and anticipate the same as we roll out the initiative school-wide”

  • Building Lifelong Readers By Building Our Class Library

    Funded Aug 20, 2015

Thank you so much for your generous donations for my classroom library! My students learned so much through the use of these high-interest, low-readability texts. In September and October, we worked on establishing our reading workshop, where the students focused on their reading interests and building stamina as readers. This month, we used many of these books for our critical literacy unit, where we examined the author's craft of the novels, as well as character motivations and thematic trends within the literature.

Many of my students have passed these books from kid to kid - making recommendations to one another and really encouraging and supporting each other to become better readers.

We thank you again, wholeheartedly, for your support in our learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stutz

  • Let's Get Connected

    Funded Sep 20, 2015

This computer cart has been a life saver! We now have a safe, functional area of our classroom for our projector and ELMO. The cart is used on a daily basis, since I post almost all of my content for my students on a PowerPoint presentation on my laptop for the students to follow along. We use it for Think Nows, note-taking, vocabulary....everything! I also present short movie clips and other media files using the cart.

This has really impacted my students because it helps them to have a safe place for the technology to supplement the curriculum. Before I had the cart, we were constantly tripping over wires. I used copies of books (!) to prop up my projector. This is a million times better!

Thanks again for supporting my classroom!”

    With gratitude,

  • Giving The Power Of Music To Students

    Funded Dec 11, 2010

Thank you so much for your generation donations! The music teacher at our school is quite grateful for these recorders. She is already looking for ways to implement them into her curriculum both this year and next year. She was so pleased to be able to have instruments that she can use with the students to teach them about notes, songs, etc.

On the behalf of the Student Council, who proposed this idea, myself, and my colleagues, thanks again for making a difference for the students at our school!”

    With gratitude,

  • Capturing "Random Acts of Kindness"

    Funded Dec 24, 2010

Thank you to everyone who helped us get these digital cameras! The cameras are really great and the students are constantly brainstorming new ways in which they can use them both this year and in years to come.

To the staff members at our school, thank you for supporting the Student Council, who proposed this idea, and your fellow colleagues. Without your help and contributions, we would not have been able to get these awesome cameras.

On the behalf of both the current and future students at our school, I thank you for your generosity and kindness through your donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stutz

  • Grammar Wars!

    Funded Dec 28, 2010

Thank you so much for your generous donation. The children have greatly enjoyed using the grammar software. It has greatly motivated the children to improve their grammar and I have seen marked improvement in their writing.

The software is definitely fun and kid friendly, which has made it a favorite during quiet, small group time.

On the behalf of my students, I again thank you for your support and donation to get our school this grammar software. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stutz
