  • Sensory Tools for Self-Regulation

    Funded Oct 25, 2024

I really appreciate every donation to this project. We immediately put the sensory tools to good use. The mazes have been a huge help for friends during whole carpet time and during assemblies to decrease distress in large crowded and noisy settings. The counters make math group so exciting for my boys and have also helped serve as game board pieces when we lost several, as often happens with kindergarten students.

The chair bands immediately went onto chairs in the resource room and in the student's classrooms and I still have several as backups for when wear and tear sets in and they need replacing.

The pop jewelry was a huge hit with my girls and they love using them on Fine Motor Fridays when we get to work on fine motor skills including popping them on and off. They do not realize their jewelry making is also learning how to manipulate tools.

The therapy putty is probably my most used tool for students throughout the building and it lasts the longest as well.

I appreciate all your generous donations and the support you provide for public school students and teachers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stutler

  • Structured Work System Containers

    Funded Aug 30, 2024

Thank you so much for the work boxes. We are using them every day in our autism resource room. These containers are so essential to build structures work systems for students with Autism. It helps them establish routines and learn how to do school independently. These containers will last for many years to come and have saved me a bundle of money having to purchase multiple sets for my students. I appreciate all the support for public education, teachers and students. Please continue to support classrooms like mine.”

  • Sensory Tools for Seekers

    Funded May 9, 2024

I cannot say thanks enough for the generous tools you have provided for my students. They were able to start using them immediately last school year and we are still using them now. I have moved from 3rd grade to K and have many more sensory needs for my little friends and all the tools are being used on a daily basis.

I appreciate all the support you give to public education and special needs students through Donors Choose and hope you continue to provide donations in the coming years. All my best.”

  • Noise Reduction Headphones 2.0

    Funded Jan 17, 2024

Once again you have provided my students and my school with much needed tools. I have cubbies overflowing with headphones. I used 20 pairs just recently for a school wide assembly, not just for our identified neruodivergent friends, but for any student who has noise sensitivity. I set all my headphones on a table and as teacher walked by they grabbed a pair of a student needed them. THAT is why I love our donors. You help kids we didn't even target for this project and made everyone's day better.”

  • UFLI Teacher Manuals for Professional Development

    Funded Nov 22, 2023

I am so excited to dig into this manual over winter break. As I add new students to my groups who are well below grade level UFLI will be a huge help to providing instruction in basic reading. The second manual is available to a coworker who has not yet trained but who can selfpace training in the online modules through UFLI. thank you so much for providing these tools to support students during reading. I cannot wait to seey students grow and show as we work through the UFLI foundations for literacy program.”

  • Noise Reduction Headphones

    Funded Dec 6, 2023

As you can see from the photos I shared, the headphones are a big hit with my students. Everyone is thrilled and the kids have already been using them during assemblies and Christmas parties. The variety of colors have satisfied all my picky friends as well. These headphones are so nice I've put together a second project to help my team get headphones for other special needs friends. Not having to requisition these from the warehouse and being forced to wait is such a huge difference maker for my students. Thank you so much.”

  • Restock the Classroom

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

Thank you tell her don't rest for your generous donations. The snack box came in handy when it arrived as I had just run out of snacks for my students. You would not believe how many snacks 12 kids can eat in 1 week. We've already been using the lamination film that was provided to make many more classroom reusable tools. The ink is being put to give you as well printing visual supports for all our students. Please continue to support classroom teachers across the country. You are a blessing to each teacher and all the students you support.”

  • Bilingual Books for Multilingual Learners

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

Thank you to each donor for your generous donations. We are so excited to add so many bilingual books to our classroom library. Each of my students now has at least one book in our class library that represents their native ethnicity and home countries. I look forward to adding more books to represent my students with coming projects. Please continue to support classroom teachers like me. My students enjoy reading the books and sharing them with their families in literacy night events. Again thank you for supporting our classroom.”

  • Wobble Seats for Wiggly Bottoms

    Funded May 24, 2023

We are about 8 weeks into our school year and the seats you help purchase are being put to good use. I have passed them out to students throughout the building who need extra supports with self-regulation in their classrooms and they are making food use of them.

These tools will last for many years and support not just our current students but more children in the years to come.

Being an educator and providing students with all the tools they need is very important, especially to our special needs friends. You are a part of providing that network of support. Be blessed.”
