Sensory Tools for Self-Regulation
Funded Oct 25, 2024I really appreciate every donation to this project. We immediately put the sensory tools to good use. The mazes have been a huge help for friends during whole carpet time and during assemblies to decrease distress in large crowded and noisy settings. The counters make math group so exciting for my boys and have also helped serve as game board pieces when we lost several, as often happens with kindergarten students.
The chair bands immediately went onto chairs in the resource room and in the student's classrooms and I still have several as backups for when wear and tear sets in and they need replacing.
The pop jewelry was a huge hit with my girls and they love using them on Fine Motor Fridays when we get to work on fine motor skills including popping them on and off. They do not realize their jewelry making is also learning how to manipulate tools.
The therapy putty is probably my most used tool for students throughout the building and it lasts the longest as well.
I appreciate all your generous donations and the support you provide for public school students and teachers.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Stutler
