Digital Resources for Second Graders
Funded Jun 11, 2014Thank you for helping me to meet the needs of my 2nd grade students who are performing at various academic levels. I am now able to provide them with something real word and relevant, not just another textbook. These apps have immersed my students in exciting videos, interactive games, and much more for our classroom iPads. My students access them in school, as well as from home! This resource keeps my students engaged in the curriculum, as well as helps them to become independent learners. Again, thank you for giving my students the opportunity to use academic apps to experience depth and entertainment with our curriculum. In addition to the Scholastic and Discovery Education videos that I show in the classroom, they now have apps for enrichment, as well. The excitement is unending, as they are continually seeking more information on our STEM topics!”

BM STEM Academy Readers: Part 2
Funded Apr 21, 2014Thank you for your generous donation! Due to your generosity, my students will have the opportunity to use LexiaCORE5 to experience depth with our ELA curriculum. My students are very visual and interactive learners who already have shown interest in interactive Scholastic and Discovery Education videos that I have shown in the classroom. They will now be able to engage in literacy-based opportunities. Currently, we only have four computers in our classroom, so I find myself continually using the LCD projector to show videos in a whole group setting. I am so excited to explore the possibilities of LexiaCORE5 with them in the classroom and at home!”

2nd Grade Is "Brain POP"pin'
Funded Nov 23, 2013Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to use BrainPOP to experience depth and entertainment with our science curriculum. In addition to the Scholastic and Discovery Education videos that I show in the classroom, they now have BrainPOP for enrichment, as well.
Due to the fact that we only have four computers in our classroom, I often show BrainPOP videos in a whole group setting on my LCD projector. The students love this format because the videos, games, and quizzes are interactive. They enjoy being able to "take a poll" on quiz answers in the classroom.
My students also like to use their "free" time to search more videos on the BrainPOP app we have on our iPad and iPods. The excitement is unending, as they are continually seeking more information on our Science topics!”
