The Equipment needed will be used to assist in teaching physical fitness activities. My students will be able to participate in engaging cooperative activities which will help them to develop their locomotor skills as well as life skills (learning how to work together). There are many benefits in having PE in school; it teaches self discipline, provides regular, healthful physical activity, helps to develop motor skills, improves physical fitness, a stress reliever, strengthens peer relationships, and can improve self-confidence and self-esteem. Children who learn early on how to lead an active lifestyle will continue to do so as they get older. The hoops, balls, and bean bags will help my students improve their motor skills such as hopping, skipping, leaping, throwing, catching, etc. Alot of the activities I do with my students are in partnerships or small group which reinforces learning how to work together (teamwork)! My hope for my students is that they will be team players and live an active and healthy lifestyle!
