Funded May 8, 2019Many of my students come to school still needed supplies to be successful at school. By supporting this project, I was able to provide reliable headphones for all of my students! We have access to chromebooks in our classroom but many students still needed headphones.

My students enjoy partner reading the article and watching the videos that pair with each magazine! We have already shared ideas for making and being a great friend, keeping a positive attitude and striving to be the best second graders they can be!

Inspire Young Inventors and Engineers!

These stories are going to bring the world of STEM alive in my classroom in a way that my students haven't experienced in the past! Our school year is off to a remarkable start and we have already spent time exploring ideas with these stories.
Their favorites so far are, What Do You Do With a Chance? and What Do You Do With an Idea? Often times, these topics are difficult for some children to navigate through. Funded Mar 20, 2018These math stories have been paired with every skill covered in second grade! Not only have my students been improving their math concepts and skills, but they have been strengthening their reading as well! My students and I will come together at the carpet and share these stories before our math skill is introduced.
My students also have the opportunity to expand their learning by using these readers during their station time and group work. The possibilities are endless with how my students are using these stories to better themselves as mathematicians and as readers.”
