Kindergarten and the Science of Reading
Funded Jan 19, 2024Thank you so much for funding this project. All of these materials are used during our small group instruction and will be greatly used year after year. The centers play an important role in our every day instruction. Whether it is for enrichment, re-teach or small group instruction the students will always be actively engaged. The decodable books made my students just so excited when they opened up all the boxes. It is my goal as a teacher to be able to provide all my learners with a variety of books. Adding new books to our classroom library gets the students excited to read and as a teacher that is my goal. To create lifelong readers. Thank you so much for being able to help me reach my goal and giving my students all the engaging materials to help them continue learning and reading!”

Funded Jan 1, 2024Thank you so much for funding this project as all of these supplies are so instrumental in my day-to-day teaching. I have such a group of diverse learners and their needs are very different. The headphones, dry erase markers, and play doh are used during small groups which is so important for not only my higher level kids, but my lower level kids. No matter which group I'm working with the supplies truly come in handy and are essential in teaching my kiddos. Small group ensures each student is getting the attention they need and these supplies are just the tools needed!”

Creating Colorful, Engaging Centers and Work
Funded Nov 14, 2023This printer has changed the world and brought color into my students life! With the new curriculum that we are implementing we have to create many charts and activities and printing these material in color makes the biggest difference for my Kindergartners. We are able to create bright vibrant charts, games and centers for the students that are visibly appealing to them. In addition the students are able to create their own stories, and print them out in color, as well as have hands on materials to use when working in groups in color. Just seeing their faces when I show them their work or the manipulatives needed is priceless!”

Funded Nov 15, 2023Thank you so much for being a part of this great group of people coming together to support and encourage the incredible growth taking place in my classroom. Every day we are pushing ourselves to learn more and become stronger in literacy and these materials being brought into our classroom are so essential in helping me try to reach all of my students. These materials will especially help my students who struggle to communicate with others to open up as they are working with their peers and connect real life experiences. Making connection it in a different way can bring about that 'Aha!' moment. Suddenly, it all just clicks and a student finally understands what is unclear before. But even more magical than that is that you are showing my students that so many people care about their education and want them to succeed and that alone makes them want to try harder and learn more. Thank you for making all of this possible!”

Funded Oct 30, 2023Thank you and thank you again! A love of reading does not happen easily when you don't have a comfy area to sit in. Your support gives every Kindergarten student in my class what they need: a cozy area to sit and read. In the past, my students would read at their seats, or on the floor. While working at my school for the past 9 years, I have had many of my students lack the focus and motivation to read especially when they were at their own desks. My goal is to provide every child with a comfortable area that entices my students to come and sit as they read a book. My motivation is to increase their love of books. Without a comfy and cozy reading area how can anyone enjoy reading? Thank you for giving and helping me reach my goal.”

Funded Aug 29, 2023A welcoming classroom does wonders for students and their academic progress. Our room is inviting and cheerful, and the children arrive with big smiles everyday. The bulletin board supplies helped me to create a warm and inviting classroom for my Kindergarten students. Having these elements of comfort in our classroom, helps my students to be more relaxed and open up to those around them, allowing for more creativity and the sharing of critical thinking.
Having a beautiful, welcoming environment to attend to each day fosters a sense of safety and desire to be there. Thank you for helping me provide this environment for my students, they love being at school and spending their day in their Kindergarten classroom, it has become their second home!”

Funded Jan 23, 2023The copy paper and laminating sheets have made creating centers and activities for my students a wonderful experience. I am able to create centers for reading and math, as well as hands on activities for engaging lessons. The best part is that the centers and hands on activities are used multiple times on a daily basis, and lasting longer.
My students were excited to see the brand new centers and over time the centers continued to look new every time they used them, not a spot of wear and tear on them. The copy paper has helped me create centers for every month, and it is a joy to being able to see my students working with materials that will last them the entire year, and for the following year.
Thank you for your generosity, I can't wait to continue creating more centers and activities!”

Fueling Our Brains!
Funded Jan 26, 2023These snacks are going to help my students, especially the ones that don't bring a snack to school be focused! They will need these snacks to keep their motivation going so that they can have energy to keep working and learning throughout the day.
When they first pulled out the snacks, my students were so happy! I explained how fortunate we are that people donated to these snacks so that they can be even more inspired to do more work, and how these people are proud of them for wanting to stay focused and work hard in school!
THANK YOU for providing necessities for these students.”
