Funded Aug 5, 2024Thanks to your generous support, we've been able to enhance our counseling program with new resources that are making a significant impact. One specific project that stands out is our "Emotional Wellness Workshop" series. We've incorporated new mindfulness and emotional regulation tools, such as stress-relief games, mindfulness journals, and interactive feeling charts. Recently, during one of our workshops, students used the feeling charts to identify and discuss their emotions in a guided activity. They created personalized mindfulness journals, which they use daily to reflect on their feelings and practice coping strategies. The tools have been instrumental in helping students develop self-awareness and manage stress more effectively.
When the students first saw the new materials, their reactions were incredibly positive and enthusiastic. Many were excited to explore the stress-relief games and mindfulness journals, with one student commenting, "These journals are going to help me a lot. I've never had something like this before!" The interactive feeling charts especially sparked interest as students were eager to use them to express their emotions and find ways to cope. The immediate engagement and positive feedback from the students have been a testament to the value these new resources bring to their emotional and mental well-being.
Moving forward, our students will be working on a "Personal Growth Project" where they will apply the skills they've learned from the mindfulness and emotional regulation resources. They will set personal goals related to emotional wellness, such as improving their self-regulation or developing positive coping strategies. Over the next few weeks, they will create visual goal trackers and participate in group discussions to share their progress and challenges. These steps will help reinforce their new skills and encourage ongoing reflection and growth. The resources you've provided will continue to play a crucial role in supporting their journey toward greater emotional resilience and well-being.”

Funded Oct 29, 2022My students are always elated when big boxes come to our room. They love helping me open the boxes to see what they are getting to enhance their learning skills.
Thanks to your generosity our class can now play engaging games with fun, wacky-sounding buzzers. Challenging games make learning fun, and my students love it.
We now have enough highlighters, and copy paper to last the remainder of the school year. These highlighters will help my students effectively cite important evidence in the text. The small storage bins are perfect for storing quick center activities, and extra supplies. Possibilities are endless with the help of donors like you.”

Funded Sep 17, 2022You Rock! Thank you so much. My students are excited to have their water bottles to fill whenever they want to quench their thirst. No more crunchy plastic water bottles to distract learning. The new water bottles are leakproof, yet the cap fits tightly. My students have clean, safe, and healthy water that goes wherever they go. Your kindness to our class means the world to my students and me. Our water station has the perfect setup in our classroom, and my students can fill their bottles throughout the day.
