  • “Nurturing Social-Emotional Growth Through Reading”

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

What would we do without generous donors like you. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to help my students learn social emotional skills through reading. Learning how it regulate their emotions and interact socially with others will help them become productive citizens. Looking forward to sharing these wonderful stories with my students.”

  • Let's Talk About Feelings: Empowering Students Through Emotional Support!

    Funded Aug 5, 2024

Thanks to your generous support, we've been able to enhance our counseling program with new resources that are making a significant impact. One specific project that stands out is our "Emotional Wellness Workshop" series. We've incorporated new mindfulness and emotional regulation tools, such as stress-relief games, mindfulness journals, and interactive feeling charts. Recently, during one of our workshops, students used the feeling charts to identify and discuss their emotions in a guided activity. They created personalized mindfulness journals, which they use daily to reflect on their feelings and practice coping strategies. The tools have been instrumental in helping students develop self-awareness and manage stress more effectively.

When the students first saw the new materials, their reactions were incredibly positive and enthusiastic. Many were excited to explore the stress-relief games and mindfulness journals, with one student commenting, "These journals are going to help me a lot. I've never had something like this before!" The interactive feeling charts especially sparked interest as students were eager to use them to express their emotions and find ways to cope. The immediate engagement and positive feedback from the students have been a testament to the value these new resources bring to their emotional and mental well-being.

Moving forward, our students will be working on a "Personal Growth Project" where they will apply the skills they've learned from the mindfulness and emotional regulation resources. They will set personal goals related to emotional wellness, such as improving their self-regulation or developing positive coping strategies. Over the next few weeks, they will create visual goal trackers and participate in group discussions to share their progress and challenges. These steps will help reinforce their new skills and encourage ongoing reflection and growth. The resources you've provided will continue to play a crucial role in supporting their journey toward greater emotional resilience and well-being.”

  • Tech, Tech Boom!

    Funded Dec 2, 2022

You Rock! Thanks to you my students have fun, engaging, hands-on robots to interact with our ELA lessons. My students were so excited when we received our Donors Choose package as they always are. Learning is tough, but learning and playing make it a little easier to grasp difficult skills. I am so excited to introduce my students to coding using Botley Robot and Code and Go Mouse. These robots make test prep engaging and keep the students on track building knowledge and skill practice. Thank you for helping me make learning fun for my students.”

  • Teach. Learn. Snack. Repeat

    Funded Dec 6, 2022

Thank you is not enough to show how much my class and I appreciate you. The snacks you provided for my class helped me ensure that all of my students have healthy snacks to fuel their brains for learning. The students were so excited when we received our snacks and they look forward to snack time daily. As we prepare for the upcoming testing season it is important that students are alert and attentive, and the healthy snack from faithful donors is just what they need. • What's in Your Supply Box?

    Funded Oct 29, 2022

My students are always elated when big boxes come to our room. They love helping me open the boxes to see what they are getting to enhance their learning skills.

Thanks to your generosity our class can now play engaging games with fun, wacky-sounding buzzers. Challenging games make learning fun, and my students love it.

We now have enough highlighters, and copy paper to last the remainder of the school year. These highlighters will help my students effectively cite important evidence in the text. The small storage bins are perfect for storing quick center activities, and extra supplies. Possibilities are endless with the help of donors like you.”

  • Water: The Gift That Keeps On Giving!

    Funded Sep 17, 2022

You Rock! Thank you so much. My students are excited to have their water bottles to fill whenever they want to quench their thirst. No more crunchy plastic water bottles to distract learning. The new water bottles are leakproof, yet the cap fits tightly. My students have clean, safe, and healthy water that goes wherever they go. Your kindness to our class means the world to my students and me. Our water station has the perfect setup in our classroom, and my students can fill their bottles throughout the day. My students love having a water dispenser in our learning environment. Learning is not interrupted by constant trips to get water bottles and spilled water from the water bottles on the tables. Thank you is never enough for what donors like you do for so many.”

  • If You're Happy and You Know It, Take A Sip!

    Funded Oct 12, 2022

My 4th-grade students use their water bottles and the storage shelf to stay hydrated during class and store their bottles throughout the day.

My students were overly excited about the hydration essentials for our class. The water bottles are very versatile, easy to store, and convenient

Our class recently went on a field trip to the zoo, and the water bottles were the day's talk. They came in handy on the field trip and after recess to quench the thirst. Water is essential for brain growth and development.”

The materials I am requesting for my students will not squeak with distracting classroom noise. New comfortable desks and chairs will have my students sitting in a ready-to-learn position. As a teacher, I believe that when students are comfortable learning is the last thing they are worried about. The new desks and chairs will provide all-day learning comfort, support, and a place for students to store their personal materials and supplies. Squeaky, shaky, and unstable desks with the help of kindhearted donors will soon be a sound of the past.
