Visual Arts classes consist of over 500 students in grade Kindergarten through Sixth. We focus on all mediums of art, for example painting, sculpture, collage, and oil pastels. Creating art fosters expression and community at our school. Art is displayed in the hallway, in the display cases, and online for everyone to view. Visual gives students a place to demonstrate talents and a place to have a positive learning experience. I like to provide the students with a variety of supplies; oil pastels, neon paints, modeling clay. All these supplies help to create grade level projects and school wide art displays. Pablo Picasso is quoted, "Every child is an artist." So every child needs the materials and space to be artistic. Donating to our project, not only fulfills a need for supplies, it also provides for cultural experiences, community events, and a happy school environment for our students and their families.
