• Books for Pre-K Please!

  Thank you so much for donating books to our Pre-K class! My class needed new non fiction and fiction books and the children were so excited to receive them! We use them daily in reading and listening time. The children enjoy reading the books with their friends. They have gained such a love of both fiction and non fiction books. It is so important that children in school have books in great condition to read, listen to, learn important facts and reading skills with. We are so grateful you have aided us in getting the new books we need!”

• SEL Begins with Learning About Ourselves and Others!

  My class was so excited to receive our materials to learn about ourselves, others to gain an understanding of ourselves and others, and gain empathy. Through the books and learning items you have donated to my class, my students learned about holidays and traditions they and others celebrate. They learned about how each of us have similarities and differences and they learned to appreciate and respect the differences we have. They learned about the feelings we have and how to understand the feelings of others. The children loved listening to these stories and utilizing the fun learning materials in which they saw themselves being represented while also learning about the wonderful diversity that exists in our world and our classroom. We truly appreciate your help and generosity. Thank you for helping my class get these important social emotional resources!”

• Safe Sand and Water Play Please!

  The students in my class have absolutely loved the sand and water tables you have donated to our class! My students play and learn with these tables every day. They are able to pick it as a learning activity during center time. They are learning important science and math concepts such as measurement, volume, states of matter, change, etc. while having a great time! • Help Us Get Basic Safety Supplies Please!

  Having basic items to keep my students safe has been amazing! The floor spot stickers and plastic seating circles have allowed the proper social distance from one another. The extra masks has been invaluable since kids often drop, break, or soil their masks. The bright safety vests work great when we go on walks outside of the school! The labels have helped us create individual supplies so there is less cross contamination. Having basic health supplies like tissues and band aids have also come in so handy! Thank you for helping us remain safe and happy during these tough times! We greatly appreciate your help!”

• Please Help My Students Get Basic Individual Supplies!

  Thank you for donating supplies so my students can have basic individual supplies! The children have been using and enjoying their individual supplies daily. Everything is labeled with their name and they have learned to take and use their own supplies as needed. This has helped keep every child safe and happy during this pandemic. The children really do love having their very own supplies. We are so grateful for your generosity in helping make our classroom an organized, safe place for children to learn! • Please Help My Remote Students Get Hands-On Materials to Learn!

  Many of my remote students really needed learning supplies to engage in hands on learning at home. They were so happy and excited to receive a bag of the supplies they needed. It was especially fun for everyone to have the same seeds, soil, and plant pot to grow a plant in. We were amazed by the different sizes and rates of growth of the same plant. They measured them with the rulers you funded as well!

  Practicing writing was so easy and less wasteful (no paper) by using the dry erase boards. They loved using them everyday. My students used every single item that was funded and it made learning so much easier and fun for them. Thank you so much for your kindness in donating supplies for my students. We are all so grateful for your generosity!”

• Super Science and Social Studies Books for Super Learners Please!

  Thank you for supporting science and social studies literacy in my Pre-Kindergarten classroom! I really wanted to have diverse books that allow my students to see themselves in non fiction literature, especially as historical figures and scientists. I wanted them to learn about cultures all over the world and appreciate the diverse people we encounter everyday. It is so important for every child to feel represented and to see examples of how someone who looks, talks, and acts like them have achieved great things. It is important for books to be read to the class that represents my student's holidays, celebrations, and diverse families. I was able to read books with positive images of diverse people to them and they loved it. They learned new concepts in social studies and science through these books as well. We are so grateful to be part of a community that supports diversity, learning, and literacy! Thank you for your help and generosity!”

• Oh, the Places We'll Go!

  You have made my Pre-K student's special day, extra special! They LOVED the "Getting Ready for Kindergarten" bags filled with items to celebrate being ready to move on and to help them emotionally move on to Kindergarten! They were so excited to receive these supplies and looked so adorable wearing graduation caps and holding their diplomas during our virtual Stepping Up Ceremony! They have a Kindergarten transition story to read with their family and a workbook to work on in the summer so they are academically ready for Kindergarten as well!   Thank you so much for your amazing generosity! My students have absolutely loved the diverse books you have donated to our classroom. It is so important for them to see themselves reflected in literature we read everyday. Having diverse resources helped my students by allowing them to hear, see, and read high quality stories with positive characters who represent them! This, in turn, leads to my students being more interested in reading books, having a high self esteem, and being motivated to learn. • Please Help My Students Visualize Learning!

  When students learn online, everything you use to teach them needs to be visually engaging. The supplies you have donated for my students to learn through visual engagement have helped both the students and I immensely! Unfortunately due to severe budget cuts during the covid 19 pandemic, all teacher choice funds were cut and supplies from the school were not given out this year for remote teaching. I really needed learning materials and supplies to help me teach my young students through a computer screen and your donation has given me what I need to have live learning meets with my students that are fun, engaging, and educational. I use these visual materials daily with my new remote learning class since we are once again fully remote in NYC. Thank you so much for your help and generosity, my students and I really appreciate it!”
