Coding requires students to analyze a problem, break it down into small parts and encode those parts into a language that the computer will understand. Students who learn to code will increase their reading, writing and listenting skills. This improves students logical and critical thinking. Students will also learn to work in cooperative groups. They have to document their code so that others can maintain or improve the code. In addition, students brainstorm to solve challenges and debug programs.
Students will use the Micro:bits to have a connection between the programming world and the physical world They will earn a CTE Certificate in Computer Fundamentals and use the Code.Org curriculum.
About my class
