I am always looking for better ways to help my students learn. In an inclusion classroom, the learning styles vary. My students learn best by doing and feeling Therefore, anything the students can interact with is always more effective than anything I can tell them. My students enjoy learning through play.
My students face struggles and uphill battles everyday. They live in a city known for being a "high poverty" area that has been named among the "most dangerous" cities to live. Yet, they come to school everyday to learn. My goal is to encourage all of my young kindergarteners to want to keep learning and growing as they get older. I believe that the love of learning begins in kindergarten. In the words of Robert Fulghum, "All I really needed to know, I learned in Kindergarten".
