  • Oh Say, Can You See?

    Funded Nov 27, 2018

The iPad and the protective case has been a wonderful edition to my students learning. It has allowed us to work together on the same items side by side. Most of my students have google classrooms they can easily log in to during our sessions.

The device also holds many sounds that are used in auditory training.

One of the extra little perks is there are educational listening games the student enjoy earning before our sessions are complete.

Most importantly this device has opened up a new way for my students to communicate. Not only are they able to select words that are said out loud to others they are also able to select certain signs to communicate in ASL as well”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. HARRIS

  • Cool in School!

    Funded May 31, 2017

With your funding support for our new refrigerator we've had more events and with more food items to offer they've been a big hit. More of our students have been involved with our events this year as we've been able to offer more food items specifically food items that are kept cold. The students are gaining more skills in handling the cold foods with the refrigerator available to them. In addition we have increased our funding in the school and our parent partnership with the use of cold food items.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. HARRIS

  • Keep Us Grounded!

    Funded May 6, 2014

Your donations have made such a difference in our classroom. We are all much grounded! Some of my students wear the pressure vests, some use the chew tubes and some have connected to phonics work by touching and feeling our sand paper letters! The difference in my students ability to focus when they have their vest on or when they are able to chew on something appropriate is more then I could have ever expected. Due to the success of my students using these materials I have some families who want to invest in their own materials so they can get the same results at home! Anytime I can impact my students in all parts of their lives the more opportunities they have to succeed!

Thank you all again so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. HARRIS

The students in our classroom are all Kindergartners. They will stay with me until they are in 2nd grade. They all have Autism or ADHD and have a hard time regulating their senses. They need materials to give them extra sensory input, they need tactile materials and adaptive materials to help teach them how to regulating their senses.
