I am creating a space for my students, kiddos that I love dearly, to create simple art and science projects to explore who they are and learn new skills. An example is that I want to mix coconut oil, jelly, and Emergen-C to make lip gloss in a lesson about keeping our words sweet and kind. I have created an Amazon list that will enable the work I want to do with kiddos. Every item on that list has an intention and purpose to cultivate and inspire this important learning with students. I have also tried to include items on this list that address student's unique sensory needs. Drums and shakers address sensory needs, rhythm and are to be used about working together to create a beat that is special and unique to my students. Other items include making affirmations with skrinkydink material that can be carried with students, and materials to create artwork on old clothes. I also have included chains, and clasps to so that that the affirmations made of shrinkydinks can be carried with students. Because I lead group conversation with students I have included multi-ethnic puppets on this list so that I can instruct younger students about important issues through the mouths of puppets.
