My goal is for students to become inquisitive thinkers and active learners in the learning process. The accessibility of various supplies and tools in my classroom will enable them to become these types of lifelong learners. Providing students with choice enables them to become active learners in the classroom. For this reason, I am asking for your help as I develop a flexible seating classroom that will have a cozy and comfortable reading corner with a new rug where students can settle in with a good book and stools available as they work on word-work activities during our weekly literacy centers. Students should never feel like they cannot reach their full potential as individuals because they lack resources. I hope to empower these students by giving them the necessary tools to help them become critical thinkers.
