We start every day with a morning meeting. Students greet each other, collaborate and get geared up for a great day. We gather together again for Reading and Writing Workshops and Math Problem Solving. A classroom carpet would greatly enhance this important learning time. Besides giving us a much needed space big enough to fit 28 students, the carpet would provide a comfortable place for pairs of students to work, and for independent readers to stretch out with a good book. The donation of a classroom carpet will improve our learning environment and our classroom community every day for every student.
