  • Ice, Ice, Students!

    Thank you for the donation to my class to fund an ice machine. We are able to have ice to make nice cold drinks, along with ice packs for small bumps and bruises.

    My students were both shocked and thrilled when they saw the ice machine. They didn't know what to think, and the generosity of the gift to our classroom.

    The ice machine has helped provide nice cool drinks on those incredibly hot days. To making a small ice pack for a little bump or bruise. This helps cut down on trips to the nurse as well, as ice can solve many problems.

    I can't thank you enough for the books that we have received. These books are more valuable now as I will be using them to record me reading them to my students during the COVID-19.

    Reading is the opening to the mind. It lets children go into another world that they might not have had before. Especially, my students and the area in which they live struggle with getting excited about reading.

    Thank you to the donors I was able to purchase books for our first-grade classes. These books have so many rich vocabulary words that our students would not normally have exposure to.

    Rooted in Reading books really engage and captivate the readers. These are books that catch these young readers and have them wanting more.

As a country, we continue to work to improve Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) subjects and I plan to give them special treatment in the classroom. To that end, I am asking for a tablet (iPad), protective case, and special math literacy books to help my 1st graders get off to the best start possible in a challenging environment. I would like to use these new math books to tie literacy to math. With the iPad, I can bring in technologies that have become critical to success in our society. Our classrooms need the same technology to assist our students to be successful
