Kindergarten Needs You!
Funded Oct 29, 2014When I brought the carpet squares, big ten frames, and the lace-a-word lowercase beads, my students were super excited. The carpet squares are called "islands" in our classroom. We use them during carpet time because not all the students fit comfortably on the main carpet, so the "islands" make more room. Also, the "islands" or carpet squares are used when they are in different centers that are on the ground, they get to grab their favorite color and sit on it. The big ten frames have been and huge part of our math learning. They are nice and big for the students to see during carpet time and to be able to use with a partner as well. The lace-a-word beads are great for my students that a learning letters, letter sounds, and making words. The love anything that is hands on and this has definitely boosting their letter and word learning.”

Kinder Listening Power!
Funded Aug 23, 2014Thank you so much for your much appreciated donation to my class. My new 24 little kindergarten students are so excited to use the listening center. Most of them said they have never used one before. I have been searching for great books on tape/CD that I will use and my students will benefit from. The listening center will help the students hear reading fluency and following how a book works. Most of my students don't know how to turn pages or where to start to read. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!”

Most of them said they have never used one before. I have been searching for many student apps that I will use and my students will benefit from. They will be using apps that help with letters, numbers, shapes, reading, phonics, and writing. Miss Williams' Kinder Class
Funded Apr 24, 2014My kindergarten students were so excited when they saw a huge box in our room. They were asking what is in there Miss Williams and to open it up right now! I told them how remember we talked about how some people are so nice, and donate money to teachers and their classrooms, and we are one of the lucky ones. I told them to look at our little small easel, and now look at our all purpose easel. My students were so excited.
All my students are now able to see the board. We write letters, numbers, draw pictures and story maps, and they come up and write sentences on it. This easel”
