• Building Bright Readers

  Thank you so much for supporting my class project. I am looking forward to sharing these books with my students. They are so excited to start this next step in their journey to proficient literacy. These books are an excellent resource. They will step them up bit by bit building on each skill as they go building up their confidence as they progress through the set. • My Book, My World

  Thank you so much for your generousity! Representation does matter. When I read some of these books my students eyes lit up. Not only were they new books (which my student's love) but they could see themselves and their culture refected in a few of the books.

  I also used the books to introduce concepts and to encourage discussion. These books were an excellent introduction in how to be safe, responsible, and respectful in the classroom. The student's loved the books and couldn't wait to 'read' them too. It is wonderful seeing my student's enjoying a good book. Thank you so much for supporting and inspiring these children!”

• Help Us Work

  I wanted to have my classroom ready for my students the minute they walked in my door your generousity helped me do that.

  We have used the crayons for numerous projects starting on the first day including learning to write their names. We have used the playdough not only to increase their fine motors skills but to work on math and literacy skills. The glue sticks have also be used for numerous projects and I have many more planned. My students are curious, inquisitive, learners who are having a good time doing so. You have our gratitude for your gift to our classroom.”

• Give Them the Universe

  Last year, when I showed my class a video of astronauts reading a book in space my class was fascinated. A flurry of questions followed, that led to other questions. I realized that there was a huge interest in not only their immediate world but in the universe around them. There was a brief introduction in our curriculum but they wanted more. This is a wonderful age where their love for learning begins and I want to encourage that quest for knowledge. These manipulatives and books have been a wonderful resource. The students have been able to touch and move the planets to see where our planet fits in the solar system and are coming to a better understanding of their own place in this wonderful world.”

• Space to Read

  My goal has been to make my classroom library the most inviting place in my classroom. It can be difficult when there are so many other things in their world and our classroom that demand their attention.

  Before this there was no comfortable place in our little area to sit on the floor. I had found a small little rug in the school but it was scratchy, dirty, and not comfortable to sit on. Your gift has made our little library more attractive, more inviting, and the kids can sit wherever they want now. The rug and pillows bring another level of comfort and welcome our new favorite place to read.”

• Color Our World

  Thank you so much for your generosity! I was able to use our new printer before any of the students arrived. We used it to print out a colorful number line for our focus wall to catch our students attention

  In Pre-K we work on patterning, sorting, identifying colors, and many other skills that are difficult to do without multi-colored worksheets. We have already used it in our classroom to identify and to match colors. I also plan to use it for folder games to practice the skills they have been learning and so many other projects as well. Thank you again for supporting our classroom and supporting our students.”

• Sensory Fun

  Thank you so much for your generousity. My students are very energetic and curious, they learn by doing. They were so excited to get the materials you supplied they couldn't wait to get their hands on it. The manipulatives were very engaging and caught their interest immediately. They have been identifying beginning sounds, spelling words, and more. They are having so much fun, I don't think they realize they are learning as well. Thank you again for supporting our little learners and helping them start off their academic career on the right foot.”

• See It, Do It

  My students were very excited when your gift arrived. They have been learning so much and wanted to show everyone else what they have learned. So far because the board is magnetic we have been able to use the board to sort magnetic letters and numbers. I have been able to give examples of things we have been discussing in class. My students have been using the board to write numbers, letters, words, and more. We use the board several times a day and it has made the children's confidence skyrocket as they have been ablle to share their knowledge with their classmates.”

• Charge Me

  Funded Feb 21, 2023

  I was so appreciative of your gift to our classroom. We have been using our ipads in our classroom to complete projects practicing skills we need to improve on. Unfortunately, many of our students brought devices to school with little to no charge on them. Often I had to use my single charger to power up my student's devices one by one. Somedays we would have to cancel our planned activity. Since we have received these chargers we begin the day charging up most of the devices all at once. My students can all now proceed with our scheduled work. Thank you for making this possible for us.”
