  • Wonderful Writers Made Here!

    Funded Nov 22, 2021

Thank You for donating to this project. Writing is an important part of the work day for students and having the right tools makes it easier and a little more enjoyable. The students use color pencils to identify certain aspects of the writing to clearly identify if they have all the components necessary for a complete essay. Everyone having the colors needed allows continuity in assessing the work and makes it easier for students to help each other during the writing process. Of course, paper is another necessary component and it certainly was put to good use with planning, writing and rewriting. Thank you again for helping to make some wonderful writers.”

  • Healthy Snacks to Energize our Minds!

    Funded Dec 11, 2024

Thank you so much for your wonderful generosity. Being able to establish a formal snack time for the class has been a pleasant endeavor for us. The students are able to ease their hunger and get a needed burst of energy to make it through the day. Students who normally would lose focus or possibly fall asleep, now are more productive in the afternoon.

The students look forward to snack time and often get to snack while working on an assignment, which they really enjoy. I have noticed an increase in overall student engagement and performance which is exciting for us all.”

  • Creativity and Privacy for All!

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thank you for your generous support.

In our class we use whiteboards and dry erase markers daily for several subjects. Thus the markers dry out quickly. We have been able to replace dried out markers and students love getting to use a new marker.

Having construction paper has allowed us to create projects and to make birthday cards for classmates. Having enough scissors for each student to use without having to wait for someone to finish is also a plus. We are looking forward to making wonderful things for the Christmas holiday.

    Thank you again.”

  • Math Matters

    Funded Sep 20, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to our project. Math is one of the highlights of the school day for my students. They really enjoy doing math activities, but they also know that when we get to math, it's close to the end of the day😁. Having enough math manipulatives for each student was a struggle, but with your help , we have our own class supply and don't have to borrow from other classes.

We all know that "new is better," so my students were super excited to use the new materials. We use them to help us compute when we are doing story problems so that we can see the work that we are doing. Working on place value has been fun as students are able to create their tens and ones using the connecting cubes and it is beginning to stick with them. Thank you again.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Addison

  • More Books Please!

    Funded Oct 4, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting our project. Learning to read is a vital part of school life. As my students embark on this journey, it is imperative that they have good books with which to practice. These books allow students to use the decoding skills they are learning and the kids get very excited when they recognize new sight words that they have learned.

Your donation is helping to inspire a new generation of book lovers and helping them to know that there are kind people who care about their education and want them to have the best learning experiences possible.”

  • Playground Equipment and More!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you for your donations. My students were so happy and excited when I opened the box and took out the balls and the jump ropes. It wasn't time for recess, but they were ready to go out and try out our new equipment.

The students really get excited now when it is our time to be on the black top. While they haven't yet gotten the hang of the jump ropes, they are having a ball figuring them out. The soccer balls, kick balls and basketball are a hit not just with my students but with the other classes as well.

Your donation is helping many students to have a fun time while getting exercise.”

  • We Need Books!

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. Going into a new classroom and not having any books for student to read can be very disheartening. Your gift has helped us to get on the road to building a great classroom library. My students are grateful for the new books and are excited every time they recognize a word that they know and can now sound out.

Seeing students excited about reading and practicing decoding skills is a heart warming moment. They are sharing books with each other and growing more each day. Thank you for being a part of their reading journey.”

  • Starting Strong for the New Year!

    Funded Aug 13, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to our project. My students were so happy to see the journals and pencils that are just right for showing their thinking and learning. We use the journals just about every day as they are a part of our routine.

Cold and flu season is upon us and the tissues have come in handy. Lots of coughs and sneezes have been caught in those tissues😁

The students also enjoy being able to use the markers for dry erase boards especially during free time.

We are off to a great start and it's because of donors like you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Addison

These books will help to enhance our classroom library. Teaching students how to read is just the first step in producing readers. Providing them with engaging and enriching text is the next step, which leads to producing students who love reading. When students can immerse themselves in a good book, they can escape (temporarily), from the daily grind to a place that is whimsical and carefree. Your donation will help to enhance the lives and imaginations of not just my present students, but of many more to come. Remember, reading is FUNdamental!
