  • All Too Swell Supplies!

    Funded Dec 22, 2021

Wow!!! What an AWESOME holiday surprise! I can't wait to see what the kids will do with all of these sweet new supplies. As I said in my project description, I wholly underestimated markers and things lasting through 18 months of teaching at home during a pandemic - whoops!! But we should now be set with these for the rest of the school year!! Thank you, thank you - yay!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rynearson

  • Stop, Collaborate, and LISTEN!

    Funded Mar 2, 2020

Wow! There is so much that we are going to be able to do with these quality headphones with built-in microphones. Technology is so engaging and so empowering, and when utilized to help students create, it can be life-changing. Thank you so much for helping us get over the finish line with this project!!”

    Funded Dec 31, 2019

Ahhhh!! What a super fantastic way to end 2019!! I was JUST thinking how I was hoping to have my kiddos start a project researching a famous advocate of an issue that matters to them, and these books are PERFECT! Thank you so much for your generosity - it truly does make a difference.”

  • Making Stuff Is Cool, Right?!

    Funded Nov 28, 2018

We LOVE having all of these STEM supplies in our classroom! We have mostly used them during "Soft Start" time. When students arrive in the morning, they ease into their day by choosing a mellow activity, whether it's drawing, playing a board game, or using one of these kits! The MagnaTiles were always getting built into something cool (including some crazy high towers), and the roller coaster kit was also quite popular this year! We truly appreciate your generosity, and I look forward to sharing these supplies with students for years to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rynearson

  • The Magic Is in the Graphic!

    Funded Oct 25, 2018

Thank you SO MUCH for your donations of these awesome graphic novels! I can't tell you how much my students are CRAZY about graphic novels! It's so cool to see classics, such as The Baby-Sitters Club, get reimagined in this new format, introducing them to a whole new generation of readers! Seeing the boys and girls in my class literally cheer when we get new Baby-Sitters Club books makes my heart so happy! Kids who haven't always been crazy about reading are finding a love for it due to books like these. My students will love these for years to come! We are super, super thankful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rynearson

  • We Need Diverse Books!

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

Thank you again for your donation of these wonderful books to our classroom! Believe me, they were well-received and thoroughly loved! They were used for both independent reading time, as well as whole-group lessons!

"You Go First" was a big hit during Independent Reading time, as well as "Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus"! "Front Desk" became one of our favorite read-alouds of the year. "A Boy Called Bat" helped expose the kids to a sweet young boy with autism who convinces his mom to let him keep a pet baby skunk! "Pink is for Boys" helped students have really good discussions that resulted in statements such as "Everything is for Everyone!"

We truly love all these books, and I can't wait to share them with my students for years to come!”

  • Arm Me With BOOKS!!

    Funded May 7, 2018

Thank you again for your donation of these wonderful books to our classroom! Believe me, they were well-received and thoroughly loved! They were used for both independent reading time, as well as whole-group lessons!

"Amulet 8" went from kid to kid so fast I couldn't keep track! Of course all the video game books were a hit, and both my boys and girls loved "The Baby-Sitters Club!" "A Wrinkle in Time" as a graphic novel brought this classic story to a variety of readers, and of course "Big Nate" is always a favorite!

"Be Kind" and "I am Enough" are great for teaching students to be good to others and themselves. "Let the Children March" helps students realize that they can do good in the world, as well. Even "big kids" love reading picture books!

Thank you again for your wonderful donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rynearson

  • Alright, Kiddos - Let's Make a Movie!

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

Thank you again for these wonderful materials! We had the BEST time making Lego Stop-Motion Animation movies this year (and I can't wait to make more with my students next year!). The creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork I saw at play was nothing short of amazing. Kids learned movie lingo, how to storyboard, how to create different shots and for which purposes, and much more! We also used the Green Screen during our State research projects (each kid took a photo "in front of" a famous landmark in their chosen state). I can't wait to continue researching and experimenting with ways to use these wonderful supplies in my classroom for years to come!”

    With gratitude,

  • "Gas Happens," and Other Tales...

    Funded Jan 8, 2018

Thank you so much for providing the funds for these books for our classroom! Per the project title, I just HAD to read-aloud "Gas Happens" first! While silly, it definitely provided some interesting and helpful information! We have also benefited from "Soda Pop Head," which helps us know what to do when we are dealing with BIG emotions and we feel like we are going to explode, and "But It's Not My Fault" which helps us learn how to take responsibility for our own actions. These books will help students with some BIG topics for years to come! Thank you again - you rock!!”
