Quality art supplies are a luxury that my Title 1 students are not accustomed to, but by introducing new high quality materials into my classroom, I know my students will see themselves as serious artists. My students are so used to using someone else's hand-me-downs, and I don't want them to feel like that when they're in art and using old paints. I want my students to create works of art that they will be proud of, and that they're excited to show off. With high-quality supplies, I know their creativity will shine through their works.
