• Let's Keep Moving to Release Stress

  Your generous donation has helped my students in so many ways. The flexible seating that was purchased through your donation has assisted the children in my class who often can't sit still for long periods of time. There have been less distractions during lessons because of the bean bag, stool, and surfs that have allowed my students to have enough movement without being a distraction to others. This flexible seating has definitely helped my students be the best students that they can be. They are able to concentrate and are learning so much!

• Bye, Bye Hard Floor! Hello Soft Rugs!

  Thank you so much for the new rugs! My students are loving them! They are comfortable and create a warm environment.

  My students are able to read and complete assignments while they are on the rug. We also use the rugs to gather during whole group and small group instruction. It is amazing to see how much they can learn when they feel comfortable and relaxed.

• Make Our Day with a Laptop Today

  My students and I thank you so much for donating to our project "Make Our Day with a Laptop Today." You have given the children in my class a tool that has helped them practice their math skills, memorize their multiplication facts, explore the Internet, and develop a passion for reading. My students think that our classroom laptop is one of the best tools that has ever been invented.

  The laptop has been used everyday since we received it. Students have had the opportunity to conduct research on the Internet, type reports, and practice their reading and math skills. Their enthusiasm to learn has increased, thanks to your wonderful donation.

• A Ride to the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and Beach

  My students and I would like to thank you for your generous donation. We would have never been able to visit the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and beach without your support. What you did for my students will never be forgotten. You are fabulous!

  We had a wonderful day at the aquarium. My students were given the opportunity to learn about so many types of sea life. They were able to learn about conservation and to participate in the hatching of grunions. This was the highlight of their trip. When my students got back to class, they were able to write about what they had learned on their trip.”

  The trip began with the pure excitement of going on a bus trip. When we arrived, my students didn't know what to expect. They couldn't wait to enter the college campus and planetarium. Once they were inside, their eyes were amazed by the enormity of the space they were in. They learned so much about our solar system and were inspired to one day attend college.

• An iPad for English Language Learners

  Thank you so much for the iPad you so generously donated to my classroom. My students were thrilled to have a new iPad. Many do not have iPads at home so my classroom is the only place where they are able to use this device. My English language learners with special needs have benefited from the iPad the most. They have used the iPad to access curriculum that is more visual and entertaining. My students with visual impairments have been able to listen to lessons through the iPad. It's amazing to notice how my students are learning through the iPad.

• On Our Way to the California Science Center and Imax

  Thank you so much for your generous donation that made this field trip possible for my students. They were so excited to go visit the California Science Center. Even though the museum is close to our school, only a handful of students had visited the museum prior to the trip.

  The trip began with the pure excitement of going on a trip on the last week of school. When we arrived, my students didn't know what to expect. They soon found out the center is a fun hands-on place. They were able to discover new things they had never been exposed to.

  When we returned to school, my students were able to discuss what they had seen and learned. Some wrote or drew all about their experiences.

  Once again, thank you for making this experience possible for my students. It will be a memorable event for many.”
