• Honor Society Community Service Projects

  Thank you so much for supporting our NEHS service project! Our 5th grade members were thrilled to create personalized "If You Give a Teacher a Cookie" books. We wrote the stories together, and students loved learning how to use AI to design illustrations that looked just like their favorite staff members!

  The staff were overjoyed to receive the staff appreciation books and heartfelt gifts. Many were touched by the creativity and care. While we weren't able to complete our Earth Day Clean Up as planned due to late funding, I am excited to use the materials with students at the start of next school year.

• ELD Award & Promotional Ceremonies

  Thank you so much for supporting my DonorsChoose project! Because of your generosity, my team and I were able to host a beautiful and memorable awards ceremony for our English Language Development students. Many of my scholars are newcomers, and ELD is one of their first experiences in an American classroom. Throughout the year, they've grown tremendously in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and they deserved to be celebrated in a special way!

  Thanks to you, we had thoughtful decorations, a fun photo backdrop, printed certificates, and gift bags that made each student feel proud and special. It was a joyful send-off for all and an especially meaningful moment for those who tested out of the program. They absolutely LOVED the little trophies! Your support helped show them that hard work pays off and that their success matters.”

• Spring Break Care: Meeting More Than Academic Needs

  Thank you all again so much for supporting my DonorsChoose project! While the items didn't arrive in time for spring break, my students were thrilled to receive them before summer. Your generosity provided snacks and care products that mean more than you know. Every child received a toothbrush and toothpaste to promote healthy habits. My 4th and 5th graders also received deodorant, and the girls received menstrual pads, items that are essential but often overlooked. Your support helped meet real needs and showed my students that they are cared for. Because of you, they head into summer feeling seen, supported, and valued. Thank you for making a difference!”

• Honors Society Awards and Induction Ceremony

  Thank you so much for your generous support of our NEHS induction ceremony! Because of you, we were able to create a truly memorable and elegant event. Families loved the beautiful backdrop, and students were beaming with pride as they received their printed certificates, which was made possible by your donation.

  The ceremony was classy, heartfelt, and full of joy. Students especially loved their gift bags filled with highlighters, cookies, and juice, and many are still proudly wearing their NEHS medals around school. Your kindness helped make this a special celebration they'll never forget!”

• Storage Wars

  Funded May 9, 2025

  I would like to extend a huge thank you for supporting my DonorsChoose project "Storage Wars" and helping make my classroom space so much neater! These materials have already been incredibly helpful. The rolling cart is saving my back as I no longer have to carry heavy bags to and from my car. I recently attended an event where I received 50 free books for my classroom, and the cart made transporting them a breeze! The storage drawers have given me a place to organize all kinds of paper materials. As someone who wears many hats- Honor Society advisor, ELD teacher, National Board candidate, community school liaison, and more- it's been a game changer to have a spot for everything. The hardware drawers are perfect for keeping all the small supplies like staples, paperclips, and other odds and ends in order. Thank you again for making my classroom a safe and organized space!”

• Honor Society Service Stars- Fighting Hunger

  Thank you so much for your generous support of our DonorsChoose project! Because of you, our National Elementary Honor Society members had the opportunity to grow as compassionate leaders while earning service hours in a meaningful way. Your donation helped us provide food for students in need and take the first steps toward starting a school food pantry. Our NEHS students took great pride in assembling the food bags with care and purpose, knowing they were making a real difference. They also took initiative by writing letters to local grocery stores, hoping to inspire food drives or donations of unsellable items to help sustain the pantry. Your kindness has filled stomachs and inspired young hearts to lead through service. We are truly grateful!”

• Space Saving Stools for Small Groups

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to my DonorsChoose project! Our new stools have already made a huge difference in my classroom. Not only do they take up much less space than our old bulky chairs, but they also stack easily, making cleanup and transitions smoother. Their simple, backless design encourages students to sit up straight and stay more engaged during lessons. Plus, the calm, earthy tones add to a peaceful and visually appealing learning environment. My students and I are loving the new setup, and I'm so grateful for your support in helping create a more functional and inviting classroom. Thank you again for making this possible!”

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to my DonorsChoose project! With your support, I now have an iPad that has already become an essential tool in my classroom. It's so much more convenient than carrying around a large laptop, and I've been using it daily for everything from communicating with families and snapping photos of my students in action, to collecting important data during lessons. The pen has been incredibly helpful for handwritten notes and quick documentation, while the keyboard makes emailing and planning much more efficient. Your contribution has truly made a difference!
