Supplies Needed for a Title I School's Classroom.

Funded Oct 9, 2017

We can use our rug again! Our rug had gotten so dusty and dirty that we were no longer able to use it during our writing and reading sessions. The students missed being able to sit closer to the front and too be able to discuss with different people from other parts of the room. Also, since colds have been going around, the tissue boxes have been a blessing. The students don't need to use paper towels anymore, and our noses appreciate it.

Our math lessons and spelling practices have been going more smoothly because all students have a new expo marker to use with their mini-white boards. I can see the answers clearly now on each of their white boards. The new bouncy balls have been the highlight for the students. They finally have more than one ball to play with during recess and we have been able to play kickball and soccer during our class PE times.

Although the items you sent might seem like such tiny things, they really improve the lives of the students in my class on a daily basis. Many can't afford these simple things on their own and depend on the school district to get them, but even the district has financial limits. Thank you for caring and for making the lives of 33 students at a Title I school in Richmond California feel loved and cared for by others.”

With gratitude,

Mrs. Rowan
