Little Leveled Readers
Funded Oct 15, 2012Thank you so much for donating to this project and to our classroom! I can't even tell you what an impact these books have had already this year in the short time we have had them! The kids look forward to Daily 5 Reading Time every day now. It is so wonderful to see each child be able to pick out books at their own level to read. Their confidence has soared as they are feeling more and more successful during their reading time. I wish you could be in our classroom to see the joy in their eyes when they move up a reading level and get to go to the next level book bin and pick out new books!
We cannot thank you enough for all the fun and learning that is going on because of your donations!”

I can't even tell you what an impact these materials have had already this year in the short time we have had them! The kids love "playing" with the play dough during literacy centers. They have been working on forming their letters, and stamping their sight words. They have many choices at our Word Work Center, but play dough has quickly become their favorite!

Kinderg"art"en
Funded Sep 6, 2012Thank you so much for donating to this project and to our classroom! We got our first chance to use their art materials on Columbus Day with a fun handprint art project. The kids had a blast painting with water colors and tempera paint to create their art work. I know we will continue to have fun with these art materials for the rest of the year. As a Fine Arts magnet school, arts integration is something we value and do on a regular basis. With these materials, my job is just a little bit easier!

Funded May 16, 2012Thank you so much for donating to this project and to our classroom! I can't even tell you what an impact these centers have had already this year in the short time we have had them! The kids love "playing" the different games during literacy centers. They have been working hard on their rhyming words and I am already seeing a difference in the ease with which they identify, replicate, and produce rhyming words. The centers are wonderfully diverse in skill level so we will be able to use them all year long to enhance the phonics skills we are working on.

Classroom Connections
Funded May 18, 2012Thank you so much for donating to this project and to our classroom! I can't even tell you what an impact these materials have had already this year in the short time we have had them! The kids love being able to choose a comfy seat to sit around the room with their very own book boxes. They have been working hard on their sight words and love using the white boards from our new organizer to practice them. All these new tools have given my students the gift of independence. They are able to sit and work on their own with their book boxes and cushions, and they are able to work with the white boards, markers and erasers and know just where to put them back!

Little Scientists
Funded Apr 14, 2012Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. The kids have been having so much fun with the science kits. SInce it is so close to the end of the year they have served as the perfect review of all the things we have done this year. The kids have been so excited to pull a card out of the can and then use the materials to do the experiment the card shows. This set up allows for the students to be independent and in charge of their own learning. They LOVE to be in charge!
Next year I am looking forward to using the different experiment kits as we complete each chapter on magnets, light and sound, motion, and science tools.
Thank you again for making science EXCITING for some very deserving little girls and boys. ”
