The kids love reading the books during read to self and silent reading time. Thanks to the bright, engaging pictures and the not-to-hard words the students feel successful reading them on their own! • Leveled Readers for Little Learners

  Thank you so much for donating to this project and to our classroom! I can't even tell you what an impact these books have had already this year in the short time we have had them! The kids look forward to Daily 5 Reading Time every day now. It is so wonderful to see each child be able to pick out books at their own level to read. Their confidence has soared as they are feeling more and more successful during their reading time. I wish you could be in our classroom to see the joy in their eyes when they move up a reading level and get to go to the next level book bin and pick out new books!

• Little Learners Love Clifford!

  Thank you so much for supporting this project and my students! They are so excited when new books on cd arrive in our classroom. The listening center has quickly become one of their favorite rotations during Daily 5 time thanks to these wonderful new books. My students love to listen to Clifford and his adventures!

  The students absolutely adore being able to choose their own story and then having it read to them. They are able to practice their concepts of print such as one-to-one word correspondence, left to right reading, and return sweep as well as improve their fluency as they read along.

  My students and I extend our deep, and sincere gratitude for all of your generous donations! With your help we were able to receive a comfy reading bench with built in storage for books. My students love to curl up on the bench with a favorite book during our literacy block. The book bins underneath the bench put all their favorite books right within reach and allow them to be independent! I know future students will enjoy this comfy spot for many years to come! Again, thank you for helping my children achieve success!”

• Inquiring Minds Want to Know!

  My students and I extend our deep, and sincere gratitude for all of your generous donations! With your help we were able to receive an entire sent of science mentor texts. We were able to use one of the titles in our plant/Earth Day unit. With the use of this mentor text, students were able to grasp content knowledge and make a personal connection to their learning. • My Chair Back Needs A Seat Sack!

  My students and I are so grateful for your generous donation to our classroom! My students face all sorts of challenges on a daily basis. However, they should not have to struggle with finding an appropriate way to store their learning materials. With your donation, my students received storage sacks for their seats. All of their materials, including their books, notebooks, and journals are now easily at their disposal! My students no longer need to waste time getting up and wandering around the room to locate their books and supplies. By eliminating this daily struggle, we are able to focus on learning!”

• Big Book Storage = Big Fun

  We are so excited to put our new bin to use! Because of your generosity, my class can now help me keep our classroom big book library neat and organized. This bin will help protect our precious large scale books and will directly get the class involved in the organizational process. I no longer have to worry about our books snagging on the open parts of the laundry basket and them getting damaged. The bin is extremely solid in construction and will last through many years. We thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!”

• Classroom Connections

  Thank you so much for supporting this project and my students! They are so excited when new DonorsChoose boxes arrive in our classroom. These materials have been getting so much use since they arrived a few weeks ago!

  We use the magnetic mat every morning to practice our sentence reading and fluency. The school globe arrived just in time for our geography unit on our world. The students have enjoyed being able to find each country we talk about on the map. They love to see how far they are from our own country.

  Thanks to the storage racks and teaching tubs our classroom is more organized than ever before. Students can easily find the materials they need which gives them a sense of pride and independence.
