I am looking to gain more flexible seating materials for my students. Currently, I use flexible seating, as an option for my students, when they are working independently. Right now we have a few pillows and clipboards. I want to expand the choices for them in my classroom. Sitting at a desk for 6 hours a day is challenging for children that are 7-8 year old. With flexible seating, they have the ability to choose a seat that works best for them and gives them a different place to sit, besides just at a desk. I have seen the benefit of giving students a choice when it comes to where they learn best. Every child is different, and having flexible seating in my classroom, allows them to find a learning style that works best for them. I want to get a variety of seating options that will expand our flexible choices.
