Kindergarten Memories
Funded Sep 25, 2024As an educator of very young students, I can tell you that they change and mature very much in their first year of school. Kindergarteners are usually very shy and not so verbal when the school year starts. By the end of the year, they are much more verbal, they can tell stories, write a couple of sentences, illustrate drawings, and perform for others.
Many of the memories that I record for my students are in the form of memory books that include pictures of the students. I like that it serves as a type of yearbook for kindergarteners. I can use lighting, filters, emojis, and bluetooth technologies that are not possible with older cameras.
With the donation granted to me for the use of this camera for our classroom projects, we are able to record and document many events for the boys and girls! Parents love to see pictures of their kids and their growth throughout the school year.
I am forever grateful for your contribution to our kindergarten classroom.💖”

Kindergarteners Need Chargers
Funded Sep 24, 2024Many a times I have witnessed kindergarten projects get overlooked because it involves technology and it is assumed that Kindergarteners don't have the skills to navigate and create their own skills. As an educator of 30 years, I have seen the needed change for student advancement in technology as I have seen it among educators.
My students were rotating charging their tablets because I had only a handful of plug in space on the power strip. It was a web of cables everywhere and I thought it to be somewhat unsafe. Many times students had their tablet run out of energy and they had to borrow one of the ones that was charged.
Because of your generous contribution to my project, my students always have their tablets charged and are able to simply grab their tablet and get to work. They take assessments on their tablet, they play learning games, they learn skills, and most importantly, they safely get to use a charged tablet everyday!”

Funded Jan 3, 2023I have received all my materials as promised and I am so grateful! Of of the items donated was the noise cancelling earphones--which my students absolutely love. I connect them every morning (as I have a headphone monitor) and whenever anyone of them goes to the safe space, they put on the earphones and listen to either calming sounds, meditation music, or calming lullaby's. I have two students who put them on, but don't want to hear music, they just want to block out the classroom noise.
Some of the students like to sit on the comfy blue cubicle that you donated and like to hug the teddy bear, whom we call "Berry". Sometimes, they talk to him and give him hugs. It's kind of funny how they start off on the comfy chair and get so relaxed, they end up on the ground carpet, playing with the sequin wall or the textured beanbags.
I have 3 students in particular who have benefited the most from the safe space, as they have some emotional issues they are working on. They have to sort out their feelings and will sometimes leave a lesson to go sit and relax. One of them directly said to me "I have to go calm down" and left his chair. One of my other boys that usually responds to others by pushing or being aggressive, has told me he loves the safe space and has now made one at home! He loves that it's his own personal safe space. I have told him that he can do that at his grandma's house too, he can take that safe space mentality to his next grade, his next school, to college, it's for him--forever! He and all my students will be better persons because someone gave them a space and the tools to heal.💕”

Funded Jan 28, 2012I just wanted to give a BIG Tank You to all of you for contributing to the funding of my project!
Because of your generosity, the students in my class have been able to participate in long awaited art projects and hands on activities. These memories that have been created are what will stay in these children's memories long after they have moved on to other grade levels.
I am so thankful that parents such as yourselves, have taken the time out of your busy schedules to assert a positive impact in your own child's education and made a certain Kindergarten classroom a lot more fun!!!”

Funded Jan 22, 2011I just want to thank you Donors for allowing for my project to get funded!!! I would not have been able to just go out & purchase all of these giant floor puzzles on my own. Prices are way too high & my salary seems to shrink every year.
The students in my classroom absolutely love the floor puzzles! There is a time during the day when they get to choose where to go & let me tell you, my kindergarten students just cannot get enough of these floor puzzles. They are very conscious of having to share the puzzles with each other and work together in teams of two or more to complete the puzzle challenge.
I am so very grateful for the funding of these classroom floor puzzles that the children will get to use throughout the school year. I can fit in the various puzzles to the theme that I am teaching at the moment and the students get even more excited to complete the puzzles on their own. I really gives them a sense of accomplishment and a boost to their confidence level.
I especially love the fact that this is a task that they can attempt to work on by themselves or with their friends without having to come to me for help. It shows them independence and perseverance as well. Thank You once more for your contribution to my classroom and the success of the kindergarten students that will use the puzzles to learn many other skills as they learn to build these puzzles together.”
