Our classroom is in a very old building, in a large district that educates low income students. Our classroom is very basic to minimize mess and chaos. The wall space is well used leaving floor space for student desks. I pay for a lot of our supplies and any extras my students need, that don't fit in the school budget. Our classroom has lots of donated and second hand books on shelves and in baskets. The desks are set up in groups, once I get to know the students, so that they can work in teams building a sense of community. With 5 new chrome books there would always be one chrome book available for each group to use. I have a private locked closet to store the chromebooks safely each night. In our classroom we have weekly centers that will incorporate a technology center for Literacy and Writing. Each group of students will use their new chrome books to work on their centers.
