Chromebooks are super beneficial to our students in the classroom. They provide them opportunities to collaboratively work together on technology based projects, assignments and play engaging, technology based games. Some of my students favorite activities to use on the chromebooks are: Quizlet live, research based group projects, Google slide projects, digital breakouts, Kahoot, and many more. Chromebooks are also beneficial to use for station rotations. Chromebooks in stations allow the students to work independently on paperless assignments and research based projects. I've found that my students are excited to actively participate in my lessons if I integrate technology. I've had students who are sceptical to learn something but when we use a game such as Kahoot that turns learning into a game they soak in the material. Adding a few more chromebooks to my classroom would open up more collaborative opportunities. I have around 25 students in each of my classes and only 8 chromebooks, if I am able to add 3 more chromebooks to my classroom I will be able to divide the students into smaller groups which benefits the students by allowing them to work closer together with their peers and focus on the material they need to learn. Having more computers for station rotations also allows students to spend more time on their individual technology assignments.
